I don't think they are trying to pass it like that. They were quite clear about the 'no particular order' part.

The only reason why I can think they did it in no particular order was to try and make Big Brother's favourites sound like they placed higher, and that Steve who was considered to be boring was voted out first by us.
Doesnt change the useless finale we have though. :bored:

But Davina clearly said that Steve was the 9th person to be evicted (which he was, it was just muddled around a bit because of the no particular order)
They were just saving John James til last for the big *shock!*

it comes down to who was in the house longer

I couldn't agree more with the OP. It is absolutely disgusting.
So yeah, make John James switch places with Steve, and then it's right

I'd say it has more to do with no one caring about Steve and everyone caring about JJ1.

Er... JJ1 got more votes to evict than Steve. Therefore, he should have left before Steve. Period.

Davina said herself that they were revealing the evictees in no particular order, so they weren't trying to pass it off as anything it wasn't.
They left John James until last because they thought of him as the big one who everyone would want to see his interview. (Saving the best till last and all that)

Yeah, but if they'd evicted JJ1 first everyone would switch off and Steve leaving last would be a total anticlimax. Period. Exclamation Point!

They knew if they put John out first the majority would turn off thats why :bored:

Davina did say they were in no particular order but she also said that Steve was the 9th evictee, implying that they are trying to sell it as the actual outcome, or at least so it will be looked upon like it. Should have been done in order!

Stonedape, I definitely see your point. But still, in my eyes, whoever gets the highest % should go first. No matter how it effects the viewing figures. Otherwise it just contradicts the aim of the game

If there were more than minutes separating their evictions, I'd obviously be pissed off they broke a fundamental rule of BB. But they were all leaving on the same night, I don't think it's that big of a controversy they arranged the save/evicts in the most entertaining order. Especially given the result they were working with.

They wanted to make it more hollywood, which is channel4's way of discriminating against Steve cos he's disabled.
Btw, what were all the %'s?

Well technically, he was the 9th person to leave the house. Even if he wasn't the 9th person voted to be evicted.
They probably could have worded it better but I still don't think they were trying to fool anyone...

John James should have gone 1st and Steve 4th. It's logical, fair, and I am AMAZED that people are trying to justify them rigging the order!

'Protect' him from the boos? The boos were not gonna kill him! Sezer from BB7 survived right?

Thanks for the figures Jords!....And I agree with your point!
I clearly recall Davina saying 'in no particular order', but that was only for the 'through to the final' bit was'nt it?....And so BB have manipulated their positionings for the sake of 'a cliff-hanger'!!
PS. I'm still astounded at Corin getting evicted, never mind with 20.6%. :conf:

The other 20.8 was shared between the successful 4 ie an average of only 5.2% and nobody with more than 9.8%.
I agree about the order switch being a bad thing. Just one point which might in some way have entered into their planning: that Steve's exit needed to be managed differently and so might have been more conveniently arranged on its own before the gap.

I do think they were going for the -shock- and that would have worked this time last week with John. But this week you had every HM knowing JJ was going, all thinking it was because of the Rachel thing. But tbh it could been the Corin thing, calling Josie a dickhead in the bathroom, siding with Sam too much over Corin, making Sam cry. There was so much, even his arrogant attitude swearing at BB etc Its a shame the Rachel thing happened, he would have still gone imo and it would have been a mazzive shock to the house. Any thought he may have surived went out as soon as they heard the crowd chanting. They shouldnt have let them hear.
JJ2 face when the first chorus of get John outs started was a picture, he probably thought he would be in the firing line by association. He has laughed at every vile thing he did this week. And even told John to start on Josie and Corin when Sam came in complaining they ganged up on him last night. Joise on the other hand put him in his place.

**** trying to justify it. The eviction order is the eviction order. John James, then Corin, then Sam, then Steve. You know why? Because that's the order of how much votes they got!!!!!!! It's quite simple. **** trying to justisfy what they did. It should have been the order of votes, NO MATTER WHAT!

I don't think they saved John James until the end for shock, they just saved him until the end so he can be "6th Place" as opposed to 9th Place, since the producers have been up his arse all summer.

Well if it was saving the best till last then surely Sam would have been last? John James had the most votes so he shouldnt have been last!
And notice he was the ONLY ONE that got cheered as Davina went through the names in talking to the house! Which proves further that Sam probaly would have won if it was a vote to save!
