I think he's ok but the ventriloquist dummy rubbish is weird, he takes jokes too far. The text polls are also beyond a joke. Wish theyd change the audience once in a while. Also I think Russell is definitely turning gay, though this isnt necessarily a bad thing....as some may think.

I hated him and BBBM during BB5 and partly BB6 but i love BBBM now!

I think its cause its on Late night. It shud stay late night for BB7!

Late at night, good point. I agree with that! I could do without the daft jokes though, they waste time, and some are just S-T-R-A-N-G-E. I'd rather he just crossdresses but no violence.

Russell's totally bonkers and BBBM wouldn't be the same without him. I do wish he'd calm down a little though. And yes overall the Scholes puppet was a poor idea.

I think he's funny most of the time, but it gets a little awkward to watch when he goes into overdrive. He's like a kid on a sugar-high.

he reminds me of a girl at school. Physically and mentally an thats a bad thing cause I don't think Russel Brand is very funny (specially at 11.30pm) when we are a bit tired.

I find him rather annoying to watch, he is a bit of a prat to put it nicely lol. The whole show is made up of poor ideas and is a waste to be honest, They should give dermot a late night show instead, he rocks:thumbs:

I find some of his comments repulsive and he is creepy. I do belive he is good at "handleing" the comments and he is quick to move on or get peoples attention but half of his so called show is made up of rubbish....Paul scholes, mouthpeice, text poll things are just a waste of time. Plus i think its very staged...how many members of the public are actually REAL...the amount of people who have been on it a number of times makes me believe that they are selected and told what to say:sad:

Russell Brand is great to watch in my opinion, he makes Davina look/sound very poor.

I think Russell is great! (a bit obvious from my sig)

I find him hilarious! He's unpredictable quick-witted and keeps the show in full swing. Though sometimes he can get a bit tongue tied! :spin2:

And no he is definitly not gay at all! Far from it actually.

He's just very camp.

I prefered it when the programme was called e4forum and Russell sat behind a desk fielding questions.

I think he's a very intelligent and witty presenter. My only real problems with him are that he's very easily swayed and doesn't pursue things enough. He'll say; "She's a very nice person though, isn't she?" And then a member of the audience will say; "I don't like her. She's very selfish. Everyone wanted beans with their meal, but she had to have peas." To which he'll respond by completely changing his opinion, with something like; "Yeah, she's greedy and out for herself and doesn't have much time for the feelings of the others at all really." That really annoys me, and it happens a few times in every show. And also when he's asking important questions that we've been dying to hear the answer to, instead of pursuing the answer, he'll allow them to completely change the subject and won't bother pressing them at all. I know it's not supposed to be a serious show, but why ask probing questions if you're not even particularly bothered if you get a response or not?

Last night's show was a bit of a mess. Why they bother with the same tired 'celebrities' such as Normski and Vanessa Feltz is beyond me, as neither have anything worthwhile to add to justify their involvement. And the 16-year-old Scouse lad is extremely irritating. When he does his 'eviction predictions', his reading of the housemates is extremely poor, and his predictions almost always wildly inaccurate. It's about time they got someone a little more insightful on board for that role. Dermot O'Dreary looked extremely tired, and old. He's only 32, but now looks more like 42. And the Chantelle / Preston / Preston's girlfriend segment was unnecessary. Yes, they deserved a few probing questions and perhaps a little mocking, but involving Preston's real life partner and constantly referring to her as 'Frenchie' was taking things way too far.

Yeah me too Andy, that was alot better IMO.

Where were Rula, Jodie, Pete and Dennis last night on BBBM?

And agree, 'frenchie was out of order'

They should just let Preston and Camile get on with life, encouraging Preston/Chantelle is well out of order.

No, I prefer BBBM to the Efourum. I think it's far better now.

The Efourum, he always looked a bit restrained behind that desk. He wouldn't stop swinging on his chair either, which really got to me!

I think if he does have a strong opinion, he will voice it and stick to it. For instance he always said he like Dennis because he was honest and upfront, even when a majority said otherwise.

In fairness he can be quite stuck for time. He covers a lot in such a short period and because it's live it's very unpredictable. Not many other presenters would be able to host a show like that successfully.

Mike

I personally think the show should last an hour, hes expected to cramb far too much into that short amount of time.

Strawberry
28-01-2006, 11:17 AM
Yeah, I totally agree. The show would benefit greatly with an hour. I'd say things would be a lot more at ease and not so hectic!

It always seems he's pressed for time.

GlitterEyes
28-01-2006, 11:31 AM
What would they fit into an hour? they cant manage to do 30mins probably they should try 30mins minus the text poll etc and see how that goes. An hour would get too heated imo.

Dan_

I would prefer an hour too, people get cut off too much and there is not enough discussion as the other features get put in such as little Paul Scholes(pointless), text poll and the mouthpiece.

I really like the guy. Hes doing another telly show which involves him doing some stand up comedy, which should be interesting.

Hes also hosting the NME awards soon.

Calling Prestons lass 'Frenchie' was absolutely hilarious. Its all ironic and meant in the nicest way, but he has to take the mick out of the housemates- thats his job.

I like the guy.I like the hectic pace he sets for hte show.Scholes and the text poll do not work at all.The mouthpiece can be funny.A lot of the audience were on far too many times ,sepecially the bald bloke and the geezer that seemed to be wearing a blonde wig.

Keep it on late for the summer and just have 2 relevant topics either side of the breal to discuss.

Will it be on at 11pm in the summer?

Its much better having it on after the watershed.

I think Russell Brand is brilliant - by far the best BB presenter there is.

Finally people with so much sense!

BBBM's ratings were approx. 514,000
In comparision to BBLB at approx. 417,000!

Russell is a genius! I can't stress that enough :spin2:

I think Russell's had absolutely no competition from Davina or Dermot. Genius....or just that he's bolder and his show was on at a better time.

Unlike the other two, who are just simply as talented as any other bog standard presenters, they should start doing Blue Peter so we can get people with pulses in.

Sorry Dermot and Davina, but your time's up.... I could go to sleep watching BOTH of you together let alone one. ZzzzZz
