I've got several. The ones I count as 'best friends' are the ones I feel I could U2U about my real-life problems, and get support and advice from.

Yay, someone agrees with me!
I dunno, naming someone as your best friends could be hurtful to any FMs who don't get mentioned, and there are too many for me to choose one...
I get on well with most people on the forum but there are a few I'm closer too.

I see the internet as different to real life.
I'd like to get on with everyone, but friends? Well, maybe a better word for me is Forum Acquaintances.

Oh, there's a difference between forum friends and real life friends, that's for sure, see how I say 'forum friends' and 'real life friends'?
I doubt, for one thing, that I'd have the opportunity to make friends with some of my forum friends in real life.
For instance, I get on with Stropz very well, and like her sense of humour. However, she's thirty two and I'm sixteen. Even if we lived in the same area, I doubt we'd move in the same social circles, and if we did meet, probably wouldn't see each other as friend material.
That's one of the things I like about the internet, you have the opportunity to get to know people you wouldn't socialise with in real life.
I can't really choose a 'best friend', everyone are my friends around here.

I haven't been here long enough to have any friends, but I'm hoping to make some!

Very true, and people hopefully know the difference.
I'm 29, a professional and wouldn't normally mix with anyone here, but this is away from the everyday routines of life.
