i have been an avid big brother fan for the past 7 years. unfortunately i wasn't able to watch the first few series, however i was fortunate enough they were released on dvd.

i find it hard to believe that the twisted, messed-up format that is bbusa is still on the air (so UN-traditional to the traditional big brother format), but big bro uk has been axed! loved the format and everything about how the show was done... wasn't too keen on the format changes for this last series, but it was still good nonetheless. hopefully if another channel picks it up they won't change it too much.

josie to win!

yes, Channel 4 released seasons 1-4 on DVD, but due to poor sales they never released DVDs for the fifth series onwards. because of this I capped all the series from 5 onwards (many many gigs) but i lost them when my hard drive died! so gutted over it.

managed to get season 4 through HMV back in '05 or '06... whether they still carry it idk. had to order season 1, 2, and 3 off ebay.

they released books the first few years too - my son always bought me the current one for my birthday (Sept); I was gutted when they stooped too

what exactly did the books cover? i know there were books released that discussed the psychological challenges that bb housemates faced.

i wished they showed bbuk on tv here in the US just like they sometimes show the US one over there in the UK. usually over the summer i am in england and i'm able to watch it live, here i have to wait until someone uploads it... or time my day correctly so i can watch it via our slingbox in the UK.
