Why I like this forum

Okay, here are the reasons I like this forum.

1) For the most part, the mods and admin are very approachable, and (some more than others) feel like one of the gang.

2) There are regulars here who hang out and post alot, who seem to have their own little group and in-jokes. BUT they're not cliquey, anyone with a decent personality can join in the fun!

3) So many people here have wonderful senses of humour, the banter never seems to stop.

4) Post about your problems, and you get support and advice.

5) The admin are open to suggestions on improvements, whether it's about a chatroom, or a new smilie.

6) People are very helpful, if you ask Kaz for a new banner, she will usually make you one, which is very kind, as it goes beyond doing her duty as an admin, and is just a very nice thing to do.

7) Racism, homophobia, etc is not tolerated, not only by the mods/admin, but by the FMs as well. When someone posts such material, the forum is usually outraged, which acts as an added deterrent as well as the possibility of being banned.

8) The varieties of ages and personalities mean that there are lots of different views on things, and that things are looked at from lots of different angles, so lots of good points and perspectives are made.

Bravo Fangz - its wonderful to see such a great thread abotu all the things you like about TIBB.

I love TIBB it has a great community spirit and everyone here sticks up for and looks out for each other! :spin2:

This is the second forum i've joined too.

The first was full of racial hatred and endless jealous chavs spouting there words of wisdom and getting unpunished.

Here you can have a good chat and have a bit of banter without someone taking it the wrong way and it's ran in such a good way that other forum admins would learn alot from.

Hmm, I must say the popularity contests are a little awkward for me. I've just voted for James on one, but that wasn't too bad cos the other FM hasn't been around whilst I've been here, and doesn't seem to be an active poster any longer.

Exactly Fangz. That way you don't have to vote for just one. You can put all the people you like through, and then you don't feel so guilty.

Nah, that was the big vote, I mean putting people up against each other. I've seen it on other forums, and it just causes conflict, as some people are like "thought you liked me" :blush:

lol haah the "beyond help" couch... yeh I would rather have not had my name in the favourite member conflict where it's a one on one contest. I wouldn't have known I was losing against Ruth until Ryan/gladders told me on msn.. i was quite happy not to win but some people get offended!!! :tongue:

But on this kind of forum, that's been running for a good few years now, you can accept that there are members who've been around a lot longer and are more respected, whereas on forums where they've been around for say a few months, starting up one of these would just cause chaos. :thumbs:

I'm sorry to hear that BigSis. I know what you're going through, I had to leave a forum I'd been registered on since late 2004 because of a very stupid member who was clearly not tolerant enough to accept my skin colour. Hopefully the idiots who're making life miserable for you on here will get what they deserve in due course. Maybe you can return and be the good ole Rebecca we know and love! :thumbs:

Ive been a member on here since 2002, and I come here everyday. Its my first website to look at.

I get on well with (most of) the people on here, and count some as friends.

Theres some good banter, and now that the bickering has been resolved, its a pleasant and friendly place.

I check out other forums on other topics, and this is by far the best.

Long may TiBB reign as the best forum on the net, bar none!

I think the bickering will obviously pick up again in BB7, because BB always chooses extreme opposite characters to put in the house, so we get factions and the fans choose to follow a particular faction. I'm a bit disappointed that a few members left because of fighting inbetween the Big Brothers, (not counting CBB) because there's normally not much to talk about. Certainly I think once BB7 starts, we WILL get our older members back, and I'm sure the new wave of users will throw up one or two really good people to become part of TiBB!
