Quite funny considering everyone on Twitter, TiBB and Facebook were refusing to watch the whole thing until Tuesday :joker:

Last night's show was absolutelyamazing and so funny! The rating is great for it, considering it is the last Sunday, the big names apart from Josie have gone etc...
Josie: "Andrew, Do you like a finger up the bum?" xD haha

I'm glad its doing well. Its been a good series, certainly not the most entertaining series of all but it has been good. Everyone should be grateful that it has lasted this long, not many TV shows get 11 series' these days.

Thats still okay i don't understand people saying their switching off when they've watched for day one why not see it through to the end.

Ah how come you wasn't fussed on Fridays show? I thought they really built up to the quadruple eviction and I thought it was pretty exciting.

Yeah but the big characters getting evicted spoiled the final week for most people...including myself

Oh yes it did indeed, the only thing that made it bearable is the fact that we only have to wait until tomorrow for it to be spiced up with a twist and not a whole week.

No, I'm a 'classic' BB fan, you know, before they decided to put freaks in.
This series has been the only series since BB4 (which I agree was boring) to have NORMAL PEOPLE in without 'gimmicks' - no Kemal's, no Marco's, no Nikki's, no Charley's etc...
It reminds me of BB2 in some ways which for me was a stellar series. I've loved BB11.
It certainly puts last year to shame.
To put the figure into perspective, BB5 Sundays "averaged" 4.5m, BB6 Sundays "averaged" 4m

BB5 was over half a decade ago lol. Its unfair to judge it on that
This series compared to last years is doing very well

If you like Mario then why arnt you watching?

No, it's not ..... it's just a figure - the fact is that BB has been losing the over 16 audience hand over fist since BB6 finished, leaving a much smaller under 16 audience as its preferred demographic - similarly, voting figures are probably only 10% of what they used to be ..... regardless of changes in technology and competition, the truth is that fewer adults now bother to watch a pre-teen orientated series .....

If last night had been a "normal" Sunday and not the penultimate night of the series, viewing figures may have dropped below 2m ..... :spin:
How many watched on Friday. Let's be honest 12.7m watched Xfactor. BB11 is a small improvement on last year, but nowhere near as as good as BB1/2/3/5/6/7.

Wish people would stop comparing it to other tv shows.
Viewing figures are up haf a million on last years which shows there is still interest in it.
Thats the point im trying to make that BB is still doing well and still is a fav for reailty fans

You say almost half a million, I say just over a quarter of a million - the fact is that the number of viewers has halved since BB3, voters are down by 90% and the preferred demographic has only limited purchasing power - hence the sponsorship by Freederm .....
What little life is left in BB (and there's precious little of the life that it was born with) will now be best served on the periphery of the TV broadcasting spectrum .....

Nothing to do with ratings.
Its to do with all the controvercy. Channell 4 are ****ting their pants constantly over Ofcom since the BB race row hence the reason bb is very pc now.
I made it to the final 8 for "The gap year" auditions which is an Endemol production and had a proper chat with a few people who had worked on BB in the past and they even said it wasnt down to ratings. Jonny nuts who appears on bb sometimes said the contract was up in 2010 anyway

Surely, if viewing figures were in the 5m range, with sponsors queuing up to part with millions of pounds, advertisers willing to pay £1k/sec and voters numbering in the millions (as in BB5), C4 would NOT be cancelling BB .....

Kevin Lygo, Channel 4’s director of television, used the channel’s autumn season launch to announce that he had decided not to renew a £60 million-a-year deal with Endemol, the programme’s production company, when it expires next year.
Amid an ongoing debate over the future of public service broadcasting, and renewed appeals by Channel 4 for help to fill a predicted £150 million funding gap, the move to dump Big Brother is being seen by many as a convenient political move to bolster the broadcaster’s public image.

That doesnt say anything from Channell 4 about the ratings being the cause of them not re-newing the contract
That doesnt say anything from Channell 4 about the ratings being the cause of them not re-newing the contract
I know - it's about the parlous state of C4's financial affairs and how much BB takes out of their budget - Endemol want £60m pa up-front, so elementary mathematics tell us that C4 need to "rake in" £6m pw to more than break even on production costs alone - with dwindling audiences, reluctant sponsors, disappearing advertisers and only a "rump" of voters, that was never going to happen .....
