I've always liked Ulrika but never thought she was funny until today.

I don't mind her. But the sly grin when Josie went yesterday has made me see her in a different light:devil:

Ive seen her on a few things and she is alright, she seems nice enough, just ignore the media, they dont like her. She done "come dine with me" and was great.
I dont see what the problem people have with her.

I didn't like the whole Josie asskissing yesterday as I felt it was a tad insincere. However, I've been enjoying the relationship she's building with Makosi and their chats together.

Bull****, she did nothing of the sort. She was laughing because she was getting told off by Big Brother, she might have found the dramatics simply amusing. Some people need to get a grip and realise people aren't always nasty and sly.

There was a whole thread on this yesterday. Don't really want to rake the whole sorry list up again.

Sorry not interested in her mumsy niceness. Not what I watch BB for.

Then there's the whole rape allegation stuff from years back. She didnt come out of that with any dignity. Basically threw a celeb under the bus to flog her book.

Spiteful.

Its not about what HE did or didnt deserve. Although he certainly deserved a fair trial at least!

Its about what other rape victims deserved. She was happy to allow a rapist to still stay free? Oh charming.

Rape victims already struggle to be taken seriously and the stats for convictions are a disgrace. Women like Ulrika just make the problem worse by using rape for such tacky purposes as flogging her book.

If she was raped she should damn well bring her rapist to justice not use it to make money! Meanwhile a mans career is in tatters and an alleged rapist potentially still on the loose and able to rape again.

Effing charming. Thanks Ulrika!

I do agree with you on that. I guess that's why I can never completely like Ulrika. I just need to be reminded of this and it puts me right off her again.

I think you need to let all of that go, it was years ago and holds no relation to Big Brother.

See? That's why what she did was so dispicable! There is NO evidence that he raped her so he couldn't even clear his name. And why was that? Because Ulrika, instead of reporting it to the police at the time, she saved it up because writing it in her book would bring her more cash. Which makes me think it was a big fat lie.

And now... people say "he deserved it" without EVER knowing whether it was true or not.

It's got everything to do with Ulrika. What she's done has made her who she is. We have every right to discuss that.

True. His career was effectively destroyed too even though there was never any evidence reported. I'll still never understand why she didn't report it to the police.

People make mistakes, she's said it herself, I have no doubt everyone you will ever come across in your life has done things they regret, but those actions make them a different, stronger and usually better person. People deserve a chance at redemption. If you're so perfect, you make the right decisions all the time then congratulations but in the real World not everyone is so fortunate.

Putting Ulrika ka ka ka aside for a second.. I can't say whether or not JL was guilty or not, but did a LOAD of other women not come forward after Ulrika's revelation and say that he had attacked them too? (or am I thinking of somebody else)

A lot of victims cannot face taking it to court because most of the time there is no concrete proof.
And I believe she put it in her book for her to get past it that way.
At the end of the day she didnt name him, she put it in to excercise the ghosts, it was relentless pressure from the press etc to name him.
There are others who have come forward since, to say he did the same to them.

Everyone I ever come across in my life will not be flogging their personality for a quick buck by going into Big Brother. She put herself up for this. This is a Big Brother Forum. Nothing about the housemates is off limits.

Whether I'm perfect or not is not up for discussion.

Yes, some women came forward, several sold their stories to tabloids. There was still no evidence, and none of them reported it to the police at the time of the alleged rape, so he had no way of ever clearing is name.

She's a celebrity, she lost a lot of income, she's a public interest figure and she wanted to ENJOY the experience this time around, the fact of the matter is you have no idea what you would do unless in her shoes.

That will be a not :)

LOL... okay then. Ulrika is a poor victim. And she wrote it in her book to "excercise" [sic] the ghosts. Not for the publicity it brought her book, and the extra money is made her as a consequence.

There's a name for women like here where I come from. Chances are, it's the same word where you come from.

No, she put it in her book because its sensational and helped it shift ten times more copies.

Youre very naive if you think otherwise. Justice and therapy would have helped her get past it.

She could have also spared other victims too. Assuming she was even telling the truth...

Not sure what your point is really. John Leslie was a celebrity too. He may well be a rapist, but we'll never know because he never got the chance to clear his name although he maintained he was innocent.

I would not be in her shoes. Rape is a crime that needs to be reported to the police so that the man responsible can be brought to justice.

Like I said, whether I'm perfect or not isn't up for discussion because I AM NOT ON BIG BROTHER.

We are all assuming, even why she put it in her book.

At the end of the day, only she will know. But what I see now is what counts as far as liking her and giving the benefit of doubt.

It was so long after the alleged rape it would have been impossible to make any kind of case with NO EVIDENCE on either side. So it would have been a very expensive waste of his time, and of the court's time. But look, I see you've made your mind up on the basis of... nothing at all. So what's the point in my continuing with this?

He could have sued for being named by the press whether guilty or not.
The same way you have made your mind up on Ulrika too. At the end of the day, she didnt name him in her book, if anyone was to blame it was the media.
