Female HM's and their hair

I'm a girl and I am not forever looking in the mirror and messing with my hair. What is it with the females (and some males) in BB that they seem incapable of passing or standing in front of a mirror without doing something to their hair?

Even if they're washing the dishes they are constantly looking in the mirror. I know they are in a reality show but to me it just shows what shallow people they are if they are so insecure.

Im guessing because of the amount of mirrors around them so they cant help but look at them.

I understand what you're saying and perhaps my example of them washing the dishes was wrong, as the mirror is directly in front of them. I mean when they are sat on the sofa's, how many times do you see them actively looking for a mirror and checking their hair/appearance out? Or the mirrors that are on the way to the diary room? I suppose like smudgie said that it could be boredom but it seems to me they are all very conscious of their looks more so than their personalities. I suppose it's all down to how image conscious the world has become.
