SkyNewsHD was the first.

Do you really want to see Lorraine Kelly in HD? Set looks good, I had no idea GMTV was going until the other day, I'm quite sad actually :( Gonna miss my morning dose of Kate, Helen and Emma, they're all my guilty pleasure crushes

Callum

Yeah, I hope it can live up to it all.

Lorraine's new set looks good. Very pink but I like how spacious it looks, much better than just having her sit on the Daybreak sofa and doing her show there.

I thought it was OK, its a bit like RISE that was on Channel 4. I like the new newsreader and the weathergirl and its good that they're having decent sport bulletins

Lorraine looks like an explosion in a barbie factory

But I still preferred GMTV before they started messing with the logo, the set and getting rid of everyone

I can only watch Daybreak the first 1 hour 40 minutes as I have to catch a train.

This morning, when we were having breakfast while watching Daybreak, suddenly my husband said "Why are they sitting so close?"

I never thought about it, so I quickly switched to BBC to find out how other presenter sit. Yes I knew what he meant.

I liked the background.

I miss Emma and yes Penny!

Since ITV1 6AM is dark
clever ITV have funded for St.Pauls Dome to be Lit up

"The City of London skyline provides an impressive backdrop to Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley on ITV1's new breakfast show, Daybreak. One problem – when they kick off at 6am it's still dark for about half the year. So ITV has come up with a cunning solution – paying to have the dome of St Paul's lit up each morning when the show starts. "It's only a nominal sum," said an ITV spokesman, confirming the arrangement. A spokesman for the City of London Corporation said: "We look after the lighting of St Paul's, and ITV approached us and made a commercial arrangement, saying they would pay the extra energy bills. We normally light St Paul's until 1am. They asked us specifically for extra hours from the start of the programme." Simples! Now all ITV needs to do is hire a bloody great searchlight to locate Daybreak's missing audience."

Life In The Fast Lane.

The tiny flaw with that idea is that the rest of the sky line will be in darkness and the St Pauls Dome will be tiny in the background. But if they brought back GMTV then the St Pauls Dome is a lot bigger on the GMTV backdrop!

LMAO. Automatically thought of Bo Selecta’s sketch when I saw that. When he used to say “I’m Lorraine Kelly, can you see me growler?”

Anyway, Daybreak is awful. I put it on everyday but switch over to BBC Breakfast within 10 minutes. Adrian Chiles looks half asleep and Christine would be good if she’d tone down the fake smiling. I know she’s rich and become a WAG but that’s ridiculous. Plus, that newsreader was obviously hired for her looks.

Next week, Daybreak will celebrate two momentous occasions as it marks not only two full years on air, but also unveils its third attempt to convince anyone to actually watch it. After the failure of Daybreak's initial launch, with its murky purples and berserk crack-of-dawn good cop/bad cop routines from Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, and its subsequent taped-together stopgap period where everyone was content to daub yellow paint over everything and pretend that they were all still on GMTV, ITV is obviously hoping it will be third-time-lucky.

From Monday, Daybreak's new presenters will be Aled Jones and Lorraine Kelly. In addition, we're promised a new studio and a brand-new feel. ITV's director of television Peter Fincham seems to have been going out of his way to lower expectations of the relaunched show, but it certainly can't be any worse than what's gone before. Daybreak needs fixing. But then so does its breakfast TV rival on BBC1.

And at least Daybreak is doing something about it. The new hosting lineup doesn't exactly scream hard news, but Daybreak has already proved that it can't do hard news very well. Kelly and Jones are the sort of presenters you can imagine cooing at pictures of baby animals for two hours or modelling a succession of novelty jumpers knitted by viewers. All the signs are that Daybreak will become a haven for those seeking to be eased into each morning by a friendly face, a handful of gentle interviews and a surfeit of heartwarming human interest stories. Admittedly, that's not for everyone. But it's surely better than a furious Adrian Chiles.
Daybreak is to be rebranded Monday. New Logo and Studio.

Me. I Am Salman
