View Full Version : Deal or No Deal - Online
After watching the real game show on tv I wondered if we could stage our own virtual DoND on here - one person could be the quiz master who appoints the sums of money to certain boxes and one person the banker, and all other regular members could take it in turns to play Virtual DoND and see who does the best.
What does everyone reckon? :eureka:

are we playing for real money???? ... I'm in!!
PS, did you see that woman today? .. she got £57,000!!!!!!!
PPS.. I tried to avoid this programme for months, but once you understand it, it sucks you in. Edmonds is very good. At the end of the day its all luck, but its still entertaining.
Ok, i'll explain:
There are 22 boxes with 22 different sums of money in them ranging from 1p to £250,000
These amounts of money are shown on a big game board - there is the blue side (1p-£750) and the red side (£1000-£250,000)
At the start of each game, 1 out of the 22 players are picked at random to come and play DoND.
When the player is picked, they bring their box (all 22 players are assigned a box at random, which contains one of the 22 sums of money in it) to the table and get ready to play.
In the 1st round they have to pick 5 boxes to open, they have to try and pick the lowest possible sum they can.
Each time a box is picked the other players who werent picked to play on this day have to open the box that they were assigned to, when the box is opened, it is eliminated from the game, after 5 boxes, the banker calls.
The banker offers the player a sum of money to walk home with tax free. Depending on how strong the game board is, the player has to decide wether to accept the offer or not.
If they say deal, the game stops but Noel Edmonds still makes the player pick the boxes they would have chosen IF they had carried on.
Most (at this stage of the game) carry on.
In all other rounds, players only have to pick 3 boxes per round instead of 5.
The game carries on until there are 2 boxes left (thats the players OWN box and one other box left on the game board), that is if the player hasnt already said deal to a previous offer from the banker - then they have the option to open their own box and win the sum of money present in their box.
Thats a brief summary of the game, well, as brief as I could

i once got beaten up outside Home Park in Plymouth .. me and my brother went down from Swindon many years ago on his Honda 125cc, My brother stupidly parked up right in front of the Argyle fans, and we were draped in our red n white scarves... next thing we knew, some nutter came at us punching and kicking, and saying "You're ******ing shite mate"!!!! PUNCHKICKTHUMPKICK!!!!!
Was this you?
lol im only 16 i dont think so - that's very rare anyway, Plymouth fans are renowned for being very peaceful so you probably just turned up at the wrong place / time, maybe they were drunk as well.
Hope you werent hurt too badly, naughty Pilgrims :nono:

Yes, most Plymouth fans are very nice indeed, i think we just happened to meet the town psyco.
..if we stray off the subject do we get severely punished by the all seeing monitor?? I'm fairly new to this site

No we dont get severely punished its just best to stay somewhat on topic - if you have a new topic to discuss that doesnt relate to any others then just create a new topic
