Help with JavaScript? (turning on)

I'm using a Proxy to watch some old BB videos [because they aren't available in the UK].. and it tells me I need my JavaScript switched on. When I've followed all the instructions on how to turn it on -

Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level > Scripting > Active Scripting > Click Enable

But it is already enabled, and YouTube is still telling me that it's turned off.
Help anybody, please?

Try ticking or unticking "Remove scripts" on the proxy.

It's not telling me that anymore, but the video's still won't play. It just says Flash Player.

Does this mean I need a new version or something?
