Shell talks to New magazine about split

Shell discusses why she split with Scott in June 2006.

' ... we split up while I was away in New York in June. It wasn't a nasty split. Neither of us was especially cross with the other. We just didn't end up working very well together at that point.

... having been together from 17 to 24, we just grew at different rates so we came to the conclusion that it probably wasn't a good idea to be together right now. We could plateau at some point when it might work out that we get back together. That would be wonderful - but probably not at the moment. I think we both really wanted to do our own thing ... '

Yes it is...there are a couple of others I'll upload later. It is sad about Shell and Scott - but they remain really close friends, see each other a lot and 'haven't ruled out a reconciliation'.

I think them not being together has as much to do with her wish to work in the USA for a couple of years, while Scott wants to remain in Scotland, as anything else. They are both very ambitious and want to 'do their own thing' at the moment.

Hope everything works out for them both, Scott is nearly as nice as Shell!
