View Full Version : Can Mods Please Explain WHY They Close Threads? -Love TiBB.

That when a mod closes a thread, THEY STATE WHY they closed it?
I just find it quite rude to members who are currently typing away when it's like 'Sorry this is closed x' and you're like  WHY!
So I mean it does avoid having threads being like 'Why the hell did you close that thread lets all blame Vicky!!!'
So for one, it let's us know WHY you closed the thread and two it takes the blame of Vicky if we see who you are.
This use to happen ages ago, I mean very rarely now do you see James saying 'Closing This'
It's just closed by a mod with no reason.
I really do miss James closing threads without giving a reason and just putting 2 words, I mean that was legendary.
But it's quite annoying when it's done by a mod without an explanation.

I blame vicky too, even though Ik shes at her aunts bday party
I think it was closed because some people were trying to cause arguements :bored:

Most are self explanitory I guess but yeah, a brief reason would be good

Yeah, I know Vicky normally does tbh and James.
But it's really annoying when they just get closed and you're like oh.. even more though when you're actually typing something.

As Jaye said, most of the time its self explanitory, and then people like to make ''why was it closed!?'' threads for the fun of it. Most times where there needs to be a reason there is one.

I hate the 'why' threads

Yea, its just begging for attention, it's easier to just PM whatever mods online to see why it was closed

Not in relation to this thread BTW - you were right to question it

My issue is that things in the BB area are allowed to continue whereas in this chat and games area, where friendships between mods and certain members are so obvious, any
altercation is deleted before it even begins.

The BB area is massively busier

Which automatically means that they should be be watching that area more than here, but it seems that any time there is an argument here it's finished after 3 comments because the mods are involved in some way, you know? I mean through association.

I'd assume they act on reports. Nothing more

That's a very naive comment to make considering what goes on in this forum. I've seen people given infractions for things that are laughed at in this area and vice versa.

I always try to say why I'm closing a thread but most of the time it's unneeded as ussually you can see why quite clearly. I always try to clean up a thread before I close it but some threads will just continue to cause problems regardless because of their subject matter.
