Bitterly disappointed by BB Best Bits DVD

It arrived a few days ago so I'm now posting about it.

The DVD literally contains ONLY these:

The Best Bits videos from BB1-10 and half the Best Bits of BB11 (up to the Glee task)
Three full episodes (including opening titles and "stings" (time transition clips)) which are the BB5's Bedsit, BB9's shock task and BB11's Titan task episodes.
Subtitle options


I mean what the ****? What a crock of ****! If you're a fan, get it, but if you're not and aren't sure then seriously don't bother.

tbh, it SHOULD have contained this:

A few 5-10 minute clips for each series'
The full best bits videos for each series
High quality images of the eyes
Interviews from people who have worked on the show + ex-housemates
All the opening title videos
Subtitle options

Yes, I have to say OI too am disappointed. Why did they end the best bits of BB11 with the Glee task. I was hoping for some footage of the 'Ignore The Obvious' task.

I would have preferred to have seen the fight night episode rather than going in the bedsit.

Would have loved interviews and as said above more time spent on the 'best bits'

Sounds crap, I'll still probably get it just as a piece of memorabilia though.

If you ask me there should've been one episode from every series, all the full lenth Best Bits from each series, and like you said, interviews with the staff and ex-housemates [they could've just included the 'Inside Story' show that was on before the BB11 launch].

It should of just been an extended verison of that show the showed before BB11, Big Brother Exposed: The Inside Story.

We never get to see any of the final bits from each series, those of the last day each year, that would have been something to get excited about too.

Because the idiots made it before BB11 finished.

Nah whole episodes would be a waste of disk space - a few 5-10 minute clips from all the series' would be better.

do Computer transfer DVD or a stand alone unit
and sell it on Amazon and Play.com


The Fight although bad,
is part of the Ch4 Errors (they could have stopped it Early with Security)
of this show
and need to be on a Collection.

See, that's why I wouldn't buy a 'best bits' vid. Best bits are subjective imho and unless they've consulted a cross section of fans then the vid is going to suck. Thank goodness I haven't wasted my cash! Thanks for the warning OP.

Agreed. If they wanted to make money they should have gone with the exclusive rare bits, not the vids so common you can find them on youtube.

To narrow down Big Brothers' best bits to just three episodes, two of which are from recent series' is just awful, I say either have one episode from each series, or re-release the uncut DVDs from 2000-2003 and also 2004-2010 for the first time. I think uncut DVDs were not released for the 2004 series and after as I suspect the 2003 uncut DVD didn't sell well.

I wish I had saved my £5.99. It is shockingly bad.
I was expecting interviews and stuff but there was none.
I would have loved 1 episode from each series instead of 3 random ones.

These are the ones they could have had.
BB1: Nick getting found out.
BB2: Brian's Birthday.
BB3: Rich/Poor Divide.
BB4: Cameron Goes to BB Africa.
BB5: Fight Night.
BB6: Jacuzzi Night.
BB7: Nikki Returns.
BB8: Charley's Fake Eviction.
BB9: Chilli Task.
BB10: Issac enters the house.
BB11: Super Heroines Task.

As far as the full episodes included go,Going INTO the bedsit (bb5) ?? WTF?,its when they got out we want - ie. 'FIGHT NIGHT' !!
It all sounds very based around the cheese on this,the 'funny' tasks,as oppose to any controversy.

Dosent sound to good, but lest you can buy other big brother dvds and vhs from amazon, the BB2 dvd is a good laugh.

Might have known it would really be the best bits.. I will probaly buy it just for memorbila but i wouldnt have my expectations to high then.. i mean we should have got the fight night ep on it.. Not them going in to the bedsit!.. :/.. and why do the stop bb11 after the glee task?... POINT? And that means no Sam Pepper... One of the best hm's of all time isnt on it... WTF CHANNEL 4???.... WTF??????

I wish they would have released boxsets of each series instead. I'll still buy it because I love BB but I don't expect much from it so I won't be paying over £10 for it.

I got the feeling when I was watching it that it had just been hurriedly thrown together - I think it could have been great with a little thought and effort but I guess as the show is dying that's all C4 could be bothered to do :(
