I'm just thankful it doesn't seem all sunny, smiley and 90210-y. Still, it's probably going to be horrific as MTV are involved.

Ill give it a chance when it comes out but for some reason I think it will go the same way that "As If" went when it was Americanized

I'm starting to think it could turn out decent now actually, It won't be a patch on our version but I don't think it'll be a horrific embarassment like I thought it would be originally.

The cast looks great, the girl with the red hair looks like a girl from shamles (minus the red hair of course)

It's quite sad when they take UK shows and make it their own instead of just running the series over there. US is the biggest market and it would help UK actors if they showed the originals. :(

I agree, but I think just some of the language/slang wouldnt make sense to them at all.....

Dont be too downheated patrick, the cast look good and intresting. Might turn out a good show.

I didn't know that MTV America was allowed to swear in their programs or put in more mature material so I think it could replicate Skin's atmosphere in a shallow sense at least.

It will be crap. It won't be 'hardhitting' like the UK version becuase they don't allow that in the US.
