Pete Burns is pleased a new type of fan is discovering his music with the re-release of You Spin Me Round.
He is happy to be taking his track with Dead Or Alive - a number one in the 80s - to a wider audience.
“What I find overwhelming is the British public seem to love me," commented the star. "From little old ladies to workmen, really unlikely people are saying that they love me.
“What I'm fundamentally happy about is that it's a great song and it set a precedent in the music industry to take music that was judged as belonging in gay clubs into the mainstream."
The song re-entered the top ten last week following his Celebrity Big Brother appearance.
