I have never done it before today, well ive babysat for a couple of hours in someones house with a girl when we were 16..
But today my girlfriend was looking after her God children and it was the first time like ive had kids out for a day, went town, mcdonalds.. to a park.. never looked after kids like that before, and had a few ask if they were our children lol, it was weird people thinking of me with a 2 year old lol!
One is 2 and one is 7 months.
Was actually a lot of fun looking after them..
Anyone else like done anything like this? Like its different to like babysitting when your young somehow.

We used to take my little cousins everywhere.. they were both under 5 at the time and it was brilliant.. especially when you get to give them back to their parents after you've been out and about all day.
You have more energy for them when they aren't your own and you don't have the responsibility.. aside from keeping them safe when they are with you.. obviously.

To be honest.. I have never took little children out anywhere. I have only really babysat. I have not babysat in ages though. I did used to babysit for my cousins.. they are both nearly 13 and 15 now.. so.. no one left to babysit!!
I did love babysitting!! I would like to be close to more kids.. or preferably babies before I have my own in the future. Would be good if I got some practise before ever starting a family.
Babysitting is good, but having my own i dont think would be so much fun

Thats a good way to put it, it was great for the day, but i mean i can see why a parents would get annoyed and upset etc etc..
It was nice having a day out though with kids lol felt like a family weirdly.. luckily my girlfriend has looked after them often so i didnt have to change nappies or anything like that lol!
Its weird when you get a woman of like 27 - 32 ask you weather these are your kids.. when im only 19, and an older lady said we looked like a very happy family lol..

Have you seen her?
But no doubt, shes a keeper lol. almost 7 months now.

Yeah I have done the odd spot of babysitting my three kids.
Take it from me, when you are babysitting the best part is giving them back.

Kids are having kids these days though, so it's not unusual for a 19 yr old guy to have kids that age.
I was 23 when I had my first and 27 when I had my second. I was classed as a 'mature mother' second time around. Isn't that laughable.

I don't think I've ever looked after kids outside their house myself, besides like the park down the road or something. I babysit quite a lot and look after my counsins whenever they come to Dublin. I love kids,I'm a kid myself at heart, maybe why I get on so well with them, lol!

I suppose not but when i think of myself i dont look at me and think yeah i look like i have a kid, but i suppose if your with a girl and you have 2 kids with you a push chair and that then i guess they look like that..
I want to be 23 / 24 then like 25/26 for another if possible. Sounds like you had at a good age :) and mature yet, fiesty im sure LOL. :)
I did quite like looking like a family people look at you, like me and my girlfriend were both having a great time and both looked great, as we dont actually have to look after them on a regular basis..
I look after my 2 nephews all the time because my sister & brother in law work daft hours. I like it sometimes, others they can be annoying as hell. Own will probably be quite soon but not quite yet..

I have 4 nieces and a nephew, I've taken kids lots of places, town, the park and so many more places.
I also worked in a summer camp every summer since I was 12 looking after primary school children.
I worked in a school teaching IT to a class of 6/7 year olds too, it was great.
I suppose I have quite a lot of experience with children. :p

I have a weird phobia of kids. I just can't take it.
I LOVE my nephew and my niece to death, I mean, they're my life but I can't be around them, alone, for more than half an hour. I go mad and start acting all crazy like a dictator, scaring the hell out of them.
So yeah, having children is definitely not for soon.
Tom you trying to suggest you have one on the way ? lol..
maybe :\

Just had my own 3 and my brothers 3 today. I am exhausted and they were all good. I have all boys but my brother has 2 girls so the pink and dolls thing is a novelty! It wears off though. :D

I like that kind of age that you looked after, because they cant really talk (and if they do its cute cause they like talk about **** really). Im working in a nursery from the end of september till like april this year. I cant actually wait!

There's something profoundly irritating about other people's kids, or brats as I call them, whereas my own kids are of course wonderful and special because they are mine and have benefitted from my exceptional and excellent parenting:tongue:
