When davina pushed him on Chantelle I got the feeling he was suggesting that Chantelle was doing it as a storyline, anyone else get this feeling? Especially his, I was always only a phone call away, comment........

I think he's spot on tbh she's trying be a headline grabber, she couldn't have got far on personality alone

I don't know about some of you, but there comes a time when that phone call can seem as far away as Australia is to the UK, I know I've been gutted a couple of times over a girl or two and when the break up is bad the last thing you want to do is show your the weak one by being the one to make contact, more often than not if you're the one who feels hard done by then you have to show you dont care, thats what Chantelle did, she went out and got cosmetic surgery, changed her hair and started moving in different circles
I know what Preston is saying but sometimes the hardest thing to do seems the easiest in theory

I thought that Preston looked cold when Chantelle was interviewed. I got the sense that he wasn't happy about Chantelle's feelings. Take a look at Preston's eyes when they show him. Cold as ice! I knew he had moved on but I was surprised by what I saw. I can understand him but still I was surprised.

Don't blame him, how that boring irritating cow got 3rd in the ULTIMATE HOUSEMATE vote baffles me.

I'm sure the only reason Preston went on the show was for the money (and I don't blame him), otherwise he would probably have avoided her. It seemed contrived from the start, but those who buy into these BB 'romances' are always going to lap it up and the producers knew that.
Yeah I thought that as well, and when he said he wanted Nick to win, he seemed to be trying to get the message across that he wasn't still in love with her. I didnt even think that he was that good friends with Nick?

Well everybodies only a phonecall away!
Doesnt mean its easy to pick up the phone and call somebody you think has moved on. But this show forced them together and gave them a chance to actually be around each other and read each others body language. Just to gage if theres still something there.
I find it odd youre questioning her feelings for him when she breaks down in tears when anywhere near the subject. Its pretty obvious she still has feelings and regrets etc
But whatever. One thing Ive learnt about BB is that people see what they want to see. If you wanna see Chantelle as being some kind of actress then go for it! But she seemed genuinely happy with 3rd place and I dont think crying that much would be anybodies gameplan.
ps; I think he said Nick to win because he just thinks Nick NEEDS it more as some kind of redemption. He probably just doesnt think Chantelle needs it so much at this point.

During HER interview, he sat there with a face that looked like it was carved out of marble - not a flicker of interest or emotion.

Youre a psychologist? Thats just his demeanor.
But whatever...like I said about people seeing what they want to see.

No psychology degree necessary to interpret his disinterest.

Of course he was interested in whatever she had to say. However he feels. He wasn't showing emotion either way so quit trying to interpret when you have nothing to interpret.
Its obvious they care for each other. Just how much is something only they really know. For you to try and imply he's suddenly disinterested in what she has to say is just silly.

C'mon, his look was cold as ice. It doesn't mean that he doesn't care about her at all but he surely wasn't too keen on her clinging to their relationship after all this time. Preston has moved on and that was visible all the time in UBB.

Deluding myself about what? I couldnt give a toss what they do from now on. Truly.
My point is that you should quit trying to interpret facial expressions and twisting comments they make. You know jacksh!t what they think about each other at this point.
So kiss it.

I don't care anyway. Relationships to me are private things and I am not interested in them. BB to me is about individual characters and alliances in the game, definitely NOT about romances. I don't buy gossip magazines to read tittle tattle on romances.

I agree. I even avert my eyes so I dont even have to see all those trashy mag covers in shops.
My point is simply that they obviously still care for each other. How much and in what sense is for them to go off and figure out.

:joker: she has a great personality, its her most attractive trait as far as i'm concerned, she's physically attractive obviously, but not stop in the street, drool down your front sexy (for me, anyway).
But her personality would totally win me over, she's down to earth, unassuming, funny and a very sweet person, thats how she comes across anyway.

He's just not into her.
Not that I can blame him, she's a bleeding nightmare. I felt he came across as very uncomfortable during his time in the house.

it seems to me that he's hardly in a position to be judging her for making up story lines.. if he doesn't like the limelight then why's he appearing in UBB????
Chantelle's far more interesting and glamourous IMO and he's probably jealous because he's frankly, boring.

He's just not into her.
Im not so sure. He's not the easiest person to read. When she had to perform he would always encourage her and even sang along with her to the kandyfloss track.
I think theyre both just unsure about how much the other still feels. I won't be following it with interest but Id say theres a 50/50 chance of them re-uniting at this point.
Kaaarenn!

I think he still does love her and still does have feelings for her, maybe not as much as she does but I do think they're still there for him because he looked as if he was about to cry or something and he did look quite sad :(

Hmm, yes I agree he was hard to read. I watched how he treated her and I thought he treated her with the utmost respect. Could be a sign I suppose, but also he could be doing it because he was aware of the cameras.
May well be that he wanted to deal with his current girlfriend before going in to talks with her.
I did get the impression he wasn't into her, but that could also be seen that he wanted to sort things out, just not in there, in front of an audience.
I have no interest whatsoever to follow their story now they are outside, however it will be interesting to see how things are in a couple of weeks/months.

I dont think preston is keen to get back together although he still obviously cares for her.He did say they were in a very dark place when they were together and insinuated that they had a long bad spell.
Looking at them you cannot imagine....but obviously there is more than meets the eye.
I suspect Chantelles intentions....why did she leave it until yesterday to tell him about all the tears.. why did she not tell him earlier. Was she wanting to make him look cold and heartless whilst she looked like the victim and heartbroken... thus gaining public sympathy and the title and new found recognition.
I think Preston was a little angry that she had kept that from him until the end and he probably felt she had made him look heartless and look like their split was all to do with him....

During HER interview, he sat there with a face that looked like it was carved out of marble - not a flicker of interest or emotion.I was once watching my daughter at ballet class. She was dancing far better the other children. I was full of emotion but did not want the other parents to see this. Another Mother came up and asked me how I could sit there so emotionless when my daughter was dancing so beautifully.

Not my impression. I thought he was seeing her for the first time as emotional person she is - as she had kept her emotions hidden from him during the show. I thought he had registered surprise.
Also, he kept the notion of his having a girlfriend open. Seems they have never even met face to face. Would love to see him and Chantelle get back together.
I think Chantelle was very genuine and that it was very hard for her to go through with this experience of being around Preston and staying apart at the same time for the duration of these days in the house.
