Hi everyone - hope you had a fantastic Christmas Day. :xmas:

I had a great day - my mum and dad were round for Xmas dinner. We started off with champagne cocktails, then went on to wine with the meal, finishing off by hitting the hard stuff (whisky & lemonade) while we collapsed in front of the telly to watch Only Fools and Horses. And what's even better - I feel absolutely fine today!! :santa:

Happy Boxing Day everyone.

I have had a real hectic xmas !!!!!

Spent the day at home and got a new printer, CDRW, video's CD's etc. In the morning I installed the printer. We had lunch and had a few too many beers i think! Then in the afternoon I had to open up the PC to fit my CDRW and put it in and changed a few wires around and forgot where they went!
So know I couldn't use the internet as the modem didn't work!!! Then I coulnd't use the CDRW as it needed to be registered online!!!! <sulk>:laugh:

Then had Xmas dinner which was nice with family...

Spent the eveing watching "the mummy returns" (i like all that egyptian stuff and i can read/write hieroglyhics....just!!!)

Its boxing day now and has been a relaxing day! Been on the phone to family most of it!!!

New Year on its way!!!

I spent Christmas Day evening watching The Mummy Returns as well. Not as good as the first one, but I still enjoyed it. I'm also interested in Ancient Egypt, and in other ancient civilisations such as th Maya and the Inca's.

Still, all that's a bit deep for christmas. I spent the rest of the time indulging in the usual way with far too much food and alcohol.

The rest of my week isn't exactly going to plan though as I was intending travelling around visiting friends and family, but I've managed to get flu so am actually at home feeling sorry for myself. I'd better get well for New Years Eve as I've a huge party to go to!!

Just to ensure proper family interaction my mother actually REMOVED the tv from the living room! I had a big panic that she'd done the same to the video. I'd already consumed Bucks Fizz, several G&Ts and the compulsory champagne cocktails by then, but not dinner, so I was very confused.

We never watch tv on Christmas day, because we have loads of family and friends round. I've never seen the Queen's Speech or a Christmas Day Eastenders. Boxing Day involves a compulsory walk, although over the years we've been struggling to fit it in before dusk. It was after dinner last night before we all sat down to watch Only Fools and Horses. Our first bit of Christmas telly. It would have been sooner, but my brother couldn't find where my mum had stashed the tv! :spin2:

2001 was a very strong year for EastEnders - 10 years down the line it's quite a different story...

If you cared to look at all then you would realise that I'm only a new member - after that I'm not even sure if I want to continue on here...
