It's not up to C4 but to Endemol.

C4's contract with Endemol has ended. Endemol is now free to do whatever they want with the show.
That happened in France, in India and some other countries too.

Appearently the news is supposed to be made a few days after the final right? My guess is if it IS happening, we could get an announcement on Monday.
