Brian Dowling may present Big Brother on channel 5!

Ultimate Big Brother winner Brian Dowling has admitted that he would be interested in fronting BB, if it moves to Channel Five.

The 32 year old has previously presented SMTV Live, ITV’s Brian’s Boyfriends, as well as narrating the Channel 4 reality show The Salon. In a chat with The Sun he revealed that he is keen to get back to TV work and said:



“Vernon Kay asked me why I’m not on TV the other day and I just don’t know. I hope it happens.”

When asked about rumours that Five wanted him to front BB next year, he added:

“I’d be a d**k to say ‘No’. But by the time it comes back, people might say, ‘Brian who?’”

Five is thought to be in talks with Endemol about buying the reality TV show format and the Total Big Brother fansite recently discovered that an English council have granted the company planning permission to keep the BB house up until at least 2013.

Davina remains my first choice. If not her, then Dermot or Emma Willis. I'm against ex HMs taking over as presenters but if there's anyone worthy of it it would be Brian purely because he's the 'Ultimate HM'.

Actually I am not really against this. I also would not mind if someone like Luke Marsden took over Big Brother's Big Mouth.

I see it as further favouritism from producers. I was weirded out when Kirsty Gallagher started presentign The Games the year after she was in it, and in I'm A Celeb... Now they've had Tara Palmer Tomkinson, Matt Willis AND Joe Swash present it.

I really like Brian but he's the only one worthy of presenting it IMO because he's the 'ultimate HM'. If someone random like Luke (who I also liked), or (eurgh) Nikki Grahame, presented it I wouldn't be amused.

I disagree. If BB moves to C5 it needs a makeover to make it work which includes a new presenter, I seriously doubt Dermot would do it and I like Emma but I don't she'd be good at interviewing the evictees. Brian is perfect, he's charming and funny and quick witted, he can think on his feet which is necessary in that job

Lol, well like I said, of all the HMs Brian only one worthy fo the job because of his stature as ultimate HM whether he's liked or not. Plus he's already got experience as a presenter. Now you mention it, he is the same league as Davina because you assocaite him with oldschool BB, which ofcourse Davina as there for. They're both quite fabulous and OTT, and even though he was voted ultimate HM, he didn't appeal to everyone, which Davina didn't either

Why do we need someone committed to the old format BB. It died because it run its course and was eventually killed off. The new BB should be hardcore reality torture not the banal drivel we put up with this year.

£100k needs to be earned not given away to McCall's favorite. Make housemates suffer this should give us a worthy winner. Lose nominations too as they are seldom valid reasons they give and just make the show a mockery.
