I take back my recommendation of acer from the other day, one of my laptops hard disks messed up yesterday and even though its still under warranty they are trying to tell me I need to pay 65 quid for it to be picked up to get sorted then they will send me another bill for them fixing it, Ive complained though and I'm waiting on a reply.

Mine is an acer, I have it around 3 years and haven't had any problems with it so far (never had to deal with them either though)

poor Niamh. have you try tuning it of then on again :suspect:
All of my pcs and laptops are acers and they are all ok apart from the one that messed up yesterday but if they are going to charge me for a repair when its still under warranty I wont ever be buying from them again.
Maybe one of the pins in your monitor cable broke? that could have made it turn green.
Try replacing the cable or even just removing it then reconnecting it.

It is likely that your colleagues are playing a prank on you as you can change the colour blends of the screen on the settings displayed when you click the buttons on the hub of the screen. It will be the RGB balance an Red and Blue will have been decreased so the majority is green.

Ah FFS. I have some sort of virus that's sending spam emails to people using my account. I was able stop it before by just deleting all my saved contacts, but now it's sending them to whoever I've sent emails to instead :bored:
And two of them have been sent to one of my teachers. smh.
Change password?
Tried that a couple of times. It hasn't helped.
:amazed: crikey Sam is there anything you can do to stop it or is it too late now?
I dunno. My computer/internet virus protection software isn't picking it up, and nothing useful has come up from Googling the problem.
I'm tempted to use a different email/something other than hotmail, but I'm not sure if that'll even help. And I've got like 20 odd various accounts linked to that email.
It's so annoying.
Brother Leon

Make your PC as a "Safe Computer" or whatever Hotmail calls it ASAP.
Account will probably be blocked soon due to spam and the password reset email to your alternative email doesn't always work straight away. This way you would at least still have access to it.

Problems with Windows Explorer are annoying.. Is it Vista or another OS?

...the thing is, it didn't happen until I got my laptop back from repair. I'm probably being a little too suspicious but it was this cr*ppy little company which sounded a bit dodgy...LOL. I would never have chosen to use them...we had to because it was an insurance claim. I'm not completely happy that I have to let this script run to get onto the internet but I don't have any choice. They were only supposed to replace the keyboard so it doesn't make any sense that this should be happening but it is just since the repair

"Hi,
This is usually a problem caused by malware on your system. It deletes or corrupts the js3250.dll file.
Go to C:\Windows\System32 and delete the ipv6monl.dll file.
Reinstall Firefox and it will work fine.
However, you need to do a malware scan on your system.
Download MalwareBytes Anti-Malware from here:
Install it, update it and do a full scan of your system and remove any threats.
Thanks,
Rob

It's not whatever "JS_UnwrapobjectAndInnerize" but it's one of the first results for it on Google so I'm not sure if it'll work or not
I'm on it Locke.. I shall try that just now. :)
