The Tory Govt (coalition govt in name) is gonna be the most eventful thing for the UK this millenium H - you're correct. It's probably news to folks who solely watch Hollyoaks/Eastenders/Corrie/Sky Sports/ESPN but not the C4 News that there gonna be vast numbers made unempolyed, the loss/downgrading of public services. the propect of another 'Winter of Discontent', and more.
It amuses my that anyone would characterise the election as 'something that was talked about for 1 day'

I guess the Word recession (and the prospect of a double dip), the Tory promise to make many billions of cutbacks, the implication of mass unemployment didn't feature on ESPN and Sky Sports News then.

Ah well - at least you'll be able to clue me in on Hollyoaks and that Scottish Cup Final thingy you told me we Scots play about 3 times a year
That'll be helpful when nurses/amvulance crews/fire go on strike and the police refuse to enforce upon them - I'll look forwards to my Hollyoaks catch-up from you - super
