Thousands of people are turning up for Big Brother 7 auditions. The hopefuls - chavs, drag queens, eccentrics, fancy dressers, flashers and exhibitionists of all kinds - are queuing for hours to sell themselves to the producers.
Participants are resorting to more and more extreme measures in a bid to get noticed: dalek costumes, Star Wars costumes, gorilla outfits, PVC gear, gold and bling, semi-naked women (and some men too) - I guess just being yourself is an outmoded concept...
Over the next few weeks, auditions will be held all over the UK. One of the producers said: "Anyone that stands out and impresses the producers in any way will get through and does a one minute diary room with Big Brother." The producers could not reveal any secrets about the upcoming series, but promised it would be filled with twists and turns. "We're hoping to make it the biggest
and best," they promised.
