X Factor star Cher Lloyd has been forced to reschedule a planned performance at GAY, so that she can jet off to America.

The 17 year old singer finished fourth on the ITV talent show last month and had been booked to perform at the London club this Saturday night. However the gig has now been postponed so that she can travel to the US where insiders say she will start recording her debut album.

Club’s owner Jeremy Joseph put a statement on Facebook saying:

“Due to Cher Lloyd at short notice having fly to the US to record, this Sat performance has been moved to Sat 5th Feb.

“Everything was done to keep the date in, but this was the only opportunity for Cher to go to US due [to] X Factor tour dates. Sat 5th Feb, is 1st date back in UK & Cher has committed it to G-A-Y (sic).”

Insiders recently reported that Lloyd had been signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation record label and that Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am would act as creative director on the album.

Throughout her time on the X Factor, Cher Lloyd's style was a bit on the well, chavvy side. But it appears as though the hopeful is changing.

Having been pictured without her usual get-up of bling, tracksuit bottoms and bright trainers, it is thought that Cher wants to change her image to fit in, in America.

According to the Mirror, a source revealed: "Cher is a star in the making - there's been a buzz about her in the US. A few tweaks of her image and she'll be good to go. But Cher's her own woman and doesn't want a stylist."

Whilst in the US, Cher, who came fourth in the competition has already started working with Will.i.am and has met up with Cash Money rapper Lil Wayne.

Jay-Z and Will.I.Am have allegedly approached Simon Cowell to buy Cher Lloyd out of her recording contract.

Following reports that The X Factor star wants to crack the US without the music mogul's help, sources have now claimed that Lloyd has threatened to walk if SiCo doesn't let her record urban songs for her debut LP.

According to the Daily Star, Jigga and Black Eyed Peas front-man Will are eager to sign Cher if she leaves goes through with her threats and leaves SyCo - even talking to Cowell about "buying out" the teen.

A source close to the 17-year old told the tabloid: "Cher knows what type of artist she wants to be and she won’t change for anyone."


“Simon knows what will make a hit record and get her career off the ground, but she thinks she knows best."

They added: “Cher has totally thrown her toys out of the pram. She’s a right diva.”

Cher, who has been snapped in LA working on her album, is said to have already teamed-up with the likes of Will and Red One, while also being pictured with rapper Lil Wayne in the studio.

The papers and their so called sources can talk some right **** and be very inaccurate but I like the fact that Cher knows what kind of artist she is and is strong minded, it's a tough industry and you got to do whatever it takes to succeed and not be a yes woman like Rebecca, who will do well anyway:p.

X FACTOR wild child Cher Lloyd is living the Hollywood dream - and absolutely loving it.

The ballsy rapper arrived in America two weeks ago to record her debut album and has been hanging out with childhood hero Lil Wayne and Black Eyed Peas mentor Will.i.am.

She hooked up with Lil Wayne while recording in Miami, Florida, before flying west to Los Angeles ten days ago to work with different artists and producers.

Love her or loathe her, the kid from the council house in Malvern, Worcs, is definitely looking - and acting - like an international pop star. And all this before she has even released a single.

The Sun caught up with Cher on the famous Sunset Strip in LA for her first interview since The X Factor.

She was still breathless with excitement after meeting Lil Wayne - a controversial rapper, real name Dwayne Carter, who has been charged for drugs and weapons offences in the past.

Cher said: "Meeting Lil Wayne was actually the best day of my life. I'll never ever forget it.

"The same people who took the mickey out of me at school loved Lil Wayne and now I am chilling with him in the studio."

The skinny teenager has also been recording with Lady GaGa's producer RedOne - real name Nadir Khayat - who has made Cher his No1 priority for 2011.

RedOne said: "There are created stars and creative stars. Cher's a creative star - she's amazing."

Cher also revealed she is in talks to bring out her own clothing line. She said: "I want to create a range, hip-hop style, creative, out-there - but very affordable."

The only negative for Cher is that she can't seem to put on any weight - even in the US, where the portions are super-sized.

Cher is very sensitive about her tiny size 6 frame and is desperate to fill out to silence her critics.

She said: "My big insecurity is that I am too small. I see girls with curves and I'd do anything to be like that. I'm trying. I eat all the time.

"I like a full-on Chinese, everything covered in sweet and sour sauce - with chips! I could eat that every day.

"But I think it's bad people criticise me, a 17-year-old girl, about my figure."

On a more reflective note, she continued: "If I could have done one thing differently I'd have waited until I was older before getting into this industry. I'd get so frightened of people saying hurtful things I'd put up a barrier, saying, 'I don't care and then they can't hurt me'.

"But I do care and it does hurt. Because of my style, I come across as hard and in your face. But I'm not like that."

Cher remains very grateful to Simon Cowell for giving her a chance on the show and signing her to his Syco label.

And she denied reports the pair have clashed over her artistic path, adding: "I wouldn't be here without him. Simon gets me and he's got my back. He knows me too well to give me rules - he likes the fact I'm a bit rebellious!"

It is amazing just how self-confident Cher appears in the super-slick surroundings of LA.

Her current lifestyle is a million miles away from her pre-X Factor existence in the backwater of Malvern with mum Dina and dad Darren. Cher admits her drive is fuelled by the childhood bullies who branded her a "gippo" and mocked her dream to become a rapper.

She said: "I grew up in a council house. We were outcasts because we were poorer. I have Romany roots and I'm proud of that.

"I walked everywhere because I didn't want to get in dad's car because it was like a tin can. People would call me council girl or gippo. I never hit them back but I always said to myself, 'One day... '.

"Now I feel like my day is coming. When I first arrived in LA I was in the penthouse suite at the Mondrian hotel.

"It was just ridiculous. I wanted my mum and dad here so they could experience it with me."

Talking about her distinctive look - featuring Dr Martens boots, lumberjack shirts and red hair - she insists she is High Street rather than haute couture. Cher said: "I'd rather wear Primark than Prada. I'd rather spend my money making my family happy. I'm saving everything I've got to move my family away."

X Factor viewers watched as Cher clung on to get into the finals despite voting controversies. But the public's criticism was the least of her concerns when she was hit by a family tragedy.

During the live shows Cher's uncle Edward died aged just 34. She said: "I had to go on stage the next day - I sang Shakespears Sister's Stay for him.

"I was really close to him. Before I even auditioned for The X Factor he would say, 'Here's our little Cheryl Cole'. He collected all of my newspaper cuttings and framed them all. I am still hurting a lot." Cher was dealt another blow earlier this month when she read in The Sun that her boyfriend Karim Roundi, 20, had been cheating on her.

She revealed: "It was very hurtful. It made me aware I can't just jump into a relationship and trust people - not now.

"Whenever I meet a boy I take them home to my dad. It made it more hurtful as he got my dad's approval."

When it comes to romance, Cher still has her eyes on fellow X Factor contestant Aiden Grimshaw, 19.

The pair were rumoured to have got together during the show and she admitted: "Aiden is my perfect guy. I'd get married to him. He and I are two very different people but he is so quirky.

"He makes me laugh all the time - and my dad loves him!" The pair keep in touch and Cher can't wait to join him on the X Factor tour next month - but the same can't be said of all the contestants. Laughing, she said: "I'm not looking forward to seeing Wagner again - I want an injunction against him! He creeps me out. Hopefully he will fall off stage and not be able to perform his latest Pavarotti impression."

But Cher is just excited to not have to perform alone in her bedroom any more. She said: "I always wanted to rap but never really had the guts to do it because I'm just a skinny white girl.

"Then aged 13 I started rapping secretly because I didn't know whether people would accept me - some people still don't."

Cher Lloyd is apparently teaming up with rapper of the moment Nicki Minaj to record a track in the near future.

According to M is for Music, The X Factor star is said to have asked pal Will.I.Am to sort out her dream collaboration with Minaj, after working with the Black Eyed Peas rapper on her debut album in Los Angeles.

Will, who collaborated with Minaj on hit record Check It Out, has allegedly already spoken to the Young Money singer's people about a possible duet between Nicki and Cher.

A source told the music gossip website: "Cher has been telling anyone who will listen about her love for Nicki.

"Cher mentioned to Will.i.am how much she would love to work with her, knowing full well he could put her in touch with Nicki and sure enough he has."

The insider added: “They haven’t started recording yet but are looking to get together sometime in the near future when Cher is back in the US. Cher is desperate for the collaboration to happen.”

Cher whether you like her or not had lots of confidence on stage (some saw that as a bad thing:conf:) and I reckon she's improved much more vocally since the show so will be interesting to see the response and I hope she smashes it:D.

Cher Lloyd's parents talk frankly about her future

Cher Lloyd's parents say she's not afraid of the gossip and rumours surrounding her.

The 17 year old has just got back from the USA where she's been recording her debut album, due to released on August 22.

"Cher's been writing songs since she was 11 years old," said her mum Diane.

Cher was eliminated in fourth place on the ITV show in December and is busy rehearsing for the X Factor Tour, which starts in Birmingham on February 19.

Despite rumours of collaborating with various pop starts, Diane says the album will be mostly her own work:

"She hasn't told us exactly who else is on it, she wants to keep it a secret but Cher's collected a massive folder over the years of her own songs.

"She'd pick up a beat then she'd pick up a pen and she'd put it on paper - Cher wants to bring something new to the industry."

'Fame won't change her'

The teenager's parents say their daughter isn't phased by the limelight lifestyle that she's been catapulted into following the X Factor.

Cher's father Darren says she's still got her feet firmly on the ground: "Fame won't change her, the money doesn't matter to her - she's not interested in fancy designer gear, she only buys what she needs.

"She just wants to do what she's also wanted to and get her music out there - she just wants to sing and make people smile."

Rumour-quashing

During Cher's time on the X Factor and since she left the show, she's been regularly featured in the media and there have been a number of rumours about her personal life.

Darren says his daughter has got what it takes to become a successful and original artist - with or without negative publicity.

"Cher will deal with the rumours as and when she's ready and set the record straight."

As far as rumours about her Romany background goes, Diane says Cher's got nothing to hide:

The Lloyd family have described how their own lives have been turned upside down since Cher's new-found fame.

They last saw Cher at the beginning of January and aren't sure when she'll next be home or when they might visit her again.

Darren says the X Factor might have finished, but things will never go back to normal:

"What's normal now? Everything just seems to be going so quick - we really haven't had chance to think about what's happened or what's going on.

Channel 4 bosses have been so impressed with the ratings for My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, they want to do spin-off programme which would feature stars with gypsy roots - and X Factor star Cher Lloyd is being considered!

A source told The Daily Star: “No-one could have predicted how successful My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding would be.

"Ratings have topped eight million, which is amazing for Channel 4.

Cher Lloyd has addressed some of the rumours written about her during her time on The X Factor and has denied ever trying to attack a woman with a spoon.

The aspiring rapper, who is currently on tour with the rest of the X Factor contestants, has revealed that not everything written about her is fact and that she has found a way to deal with false stories.

Speaking to Teen Now, Lloyd revealed: "I've learnt not to read everything and to take it all with a pinch of salt."

Cher continued: "One report said I attacked a lady with a spoon! That is never going to happen."

The 17-year old singer also spoke about the criticism she has faced for her unique style, telling the magazine: "I feel like I've found exactly what I'm about and the way I'm dressing now reflects that."

There's been quite a few catty reviews about Cher on the tour so far but most of them have been positive about all the contestants from the press and from people who attended the concert:).

Cher Lloyd has said that she does not care if she does things wrong as long as she eventually gets a No.1 record.

The X Factor finalist told Wonderland that she will not be put off by the way some people "frown" at her in public.

Lloyd said: "I don't understand why. I'm still gonna carry on, I'm not going to change. I don't want to be perfect, I want to be edgy and even if I do things wrong, who cares?

The X Factor finalist is due to release her new album on August 18 and has been working with producers RedOne and The Runners.

Following her recent makeover for a photo shoot for Wonderland magazine, the publication was played a few selected tracks from Lloyd's LP.

"She calls her sound 'swag pop', but that doesn't even come close to describing the furious energy of what she's been working on. Yes, she's still rapping - faster and more aggressively - and she's fed in a lot of urban influences: some tracks have a southern stride, some take cues from UK hip-hop - one even has a huge, squelchy dubstep bassline," the magazine reports.

"But it's all got kind of ingenious, princessy pop edge - think of soaring chorus, petulant spoken asides and single refrains that hark back to the rhythm and melodies of nursery rhymes."

The singer recently declared that all she wants is a number one record.

She has also revealed that she has been influenced by the current dubstep scene while working on her LP in the studio.

Cher Lloyd holds auditions for Twitter fans to star in new video

Cher Lloyd is due to start shooting her first music video in a few weeks and has offered her Twitter fans the opportunity to audition for a chance to be appear as dancers in the new promo.

The X Factor finalist has been busy recording her first album, and is about to start shooting the video for her as-yet-untitled debut single in a few weeks.

Cher has revealed fans have a chance to appear as dancers in the music promo, and will be holding auditions later this month.

The 17-year-old wrote on Twitter this morning: 'Hellloooo I’m gunna be holding auditions to give all you budding dancers a chance to be in the video for my first single!'

Amateur dancers over the age of 18 with 'swagger' have until April 21 to submit their application to audition, with the first round of auditions scheduled to take place in London on April 27.

The video is due to be filmed in the middle of May.

Busta Rhymes has lent his vocals to a track that will appear on Cher Lloyd's debut album.

The X Factor finalist is currently recording the album ready for its release on September 12, with her label Syco setting up the collaboration, reports The Sun.

The label have allegedly invited Lady GaGa, Britney Spears and Rihanna songwriters to contribute to the record, with the possibility of Rihanna featuring after the Bajan star reportedly revealed to being a fan of the 17-year-old singer/rapper.

"We are exploring exciting collaborations," a spokesperson for the label confirmed.

It has also been revealed that Lloyd's debut single will be titled 'Swagger Jagger', but no release schedule has yet been announced, though the video for the single is due to be shot soon following a casting call for dancers.

Since finishing fourth in The X Factor last December, Lloyd has recorded most of her debut album in Los Angeles with producers RedOne and The Runners.

The album's sound was recently described as "swag pop", and branded "ingenious".

She's good at provoking opinions, in an industry like that you need to keep people interested but she's too focused on those that dislike her, all you have to do is have a thick skin and ignore as hard as it is not to respond.

Don't know if it will go in at #1 because it has been left far too long to release it, but it'll definitely go Top 5. Then hopefully quickly afterwards we'll have a 2nd single (which is the opposite of SJ), and then a third about a week before the album is released
