It's becuz he is American and is not using any sad stories which most contestents do. I gurantee u if he started saying that he lived in an adoption home for years after he's Mum and Dad died in a tragic accent they wld be all over him like a rash. Dont u remeber that really bad singer a couple of years back Daniel i think his name was who gt really far even though he cld not sing a note lol.

Think you hit the nail on the head! These sob stories get on my nerves now, I do feel sorry for some but it shouldnt be used as a way to enhance your chances in a talent show.

I also think its because hes quite a confident fella, they seem to love those who arnt confident to start with and then blossom as the shows go on (think Matt could do this).

I was absolutely amazed by Simon's inital reaction to his name change. Wonder if he would have said the same to Gordon Sumner, yes Sting. I do realise that it was initally a nickname due to a jumper he wore. But the prinicple is the same.

Me too! Love the tone to Storm's voice also.
He should be a shoe in to the live shows with how poor his category is bar himself, would be bizzare if he didnt make it.

I think he's a trainwreck. Decent enough voice but the rest of the package is just all horribly wrong. He'll get people talking about the show though and will probably create some weird drama. Can't see any music career though!
