I had a reasonably good day until I sat on a train on the way home.
Then we were told to move to the front train on the same platform. (I did not realise there were two trains.)
Seconds later, there was an announcement that we had to go to another platform - five platforms away!
The third time lucky.
I have never experienced like that before in all my life!

I hate food shopping so much! Normally do it online nowadays tbh.
And Asda's the worst. Full of cheap ****.

I like doing it when my parents are away for holidays. I do go there when it's about to close, it's at night and there isn't that old stinking lady who takes half an hour to pay (because it's ALWAYS where you're at, not another cashier). I can buy anything I want (from alcohol to a dozen packs of crisps and cakes) with my money and I have fun with it !
I generally don't do it tho. My mum and my sister do it together because it's part of their "house duties" (as they like to call it) and it's kinda the only time in the week they can be together.

omg all this Asda abuse is too much :bawling:.
I hate food shopping, I go around like money is no object. Last time I did the food shopping I spent £15 on the pick & mix and the overall bill came to almost £200. Oops
I always end up arguing with my mum when I go with her because she just stands in the middle of the aisle doing nothing but staring or looking for stupid offers on stuff she wouldn't usually buy. If I go with my girlfriend she just moans at me and always gets her own way but I know best not to argue back with her

I only used to go to blag my parents for pizza, Cheese Strings, Dairylea Dunkers etc etc otherwise they'd forget.
The veg aisle is always HELL though, it feels like you've spent a year of your life looking at cabbage.

I always shop at Waitrose. They're no more expensive than other supermarkets. They just have a larger range of products, some of which *are* expensive. Quality of food is better too.
Anyway, to answer the question, no, I don't like food shopping. It's boring and full of knobheads with trolleys that get in the way. I'd happily spend an extra fiver to have my food delivered, but luckily there is a Waitrose along my journey to and from work, so most of the time I just pop in there.

Yeah, I don't have a Waitrose near to me at the moment but, from the food I've had from there it is of an extremely high quality.
M&S are generally very good as well too. Their deserts are to die for, especially their Banoffee Pie!

Yeah if I am not at work then I tag along with my mum to the supermarket :) We sometimes go in the cafe before we do the food shop!
She has had food delivered once.. if you spend over a certain amount.. you get the food delivered for free. Not sure why she doesn't do that again.. she is probably fed up of the internet!!
Marks and Spencers is nice. We sometimes get a basket full of stuff from there but not a big shop! The pasta pots are really nice from M&S.

Well jedward fever,I have to use them but the ASDA where I am drives me mad, they hardly ever have many checkouts open but they have this daft thing of 2 to 3 staff running about with green finger arrows pointing out where a space is at a checkout. I had to say the other day to one of them, it would make more sense to open another 2 checkouts than be standing with those daft things.
I hate shopping jedward fever, you have my full sympathy.

Yes massive, to get a loaf of bread you seem to have to walk miles right to to the other end of the store.
Only use it because its the nearest store.
I have strated to go through the night as its quieter then but then you are near climbing over all the cages with the stock for the night staff to fill the shelves with.
I am a right moan you know, jedward fever.

I don't know about your Asda but there is not one miserable staff member at mine.. they all look happy and are really helpful! I think I want to work for Asda!

Queue busters, yes thats right, what a rediculous idea. then there's those self service checkouts, designed to replace staff of course, but if you are buying anything alcoholic, certain DVDs and Games, or anything from the pharmacy aisle, then you have to wait until some staff member comes and okays it for you.

Lol.. I love the self checkouts! I pretend I'm a checkout lady! (I even ask myself if it's still raining outside and what I'm up to the weekend)
