i didnt mind Florence + the Machine when they first started out but this song really made me hate them it was that annoying! it was on every bliddy advert

I don't understand the hate for Florence? I really liked "Your Love" by Frankie Knuckles when it was released. The Source and Candi Staton made it even better. And there have been some pretty good remixes along the way. I know her version is overplayed, but I have always really liked it.

I think Florence's version is very flat to be honest. I really liked that harmonic suspense you got in the first verse of the Source's version and the whole build-up of the song. Florence just has the same piano melody running throughout, which wasn't necessary and made it feel samey.

I hate her elongated vowels too. She oversells it and by God her voice is so shrill and unpleasant.
