Haa!

Now it's time for...

A Very Special Patrick's Daaaaay!

Today was very interesting, You see I woke up as usuall and went to school, little did I know I would leave that school one of the most popular people around.

But I think I'm getting alittle ahead of my story.

So there is this guy you see, Dylon and he seems to hit everyone and call them names.
He uses the term 'Gay' alot even though it's very funny because HE himself is actually Homosexual.
Anyways, in Assembley he was shouting things at me, he's been doing this for 2 years and I done nothing about it, He called me 'Queer' to which I told him to shut the ****** up, he threatened me and then when we left the hall he told his girls that I was picking on him.

So we were in our form class chillin' at break time, and then he walks in with his gang of girls and was like 'There he is!' and they were proper in my face shouting and half of them smelt like ******ing Walkers Cheese and Onion.

After that the boy Dylon was standing in my way and wouldn't move, the whole class was watching and my teacher was on the computer not looking.
He got in my face to which I grabbed him and threw him into a table.

Everyone by this stage stood up, stood back, you know the usuall 'There's a fight' bollocks, my form teacher still not bothered.

So I went to put something in the bin and the little ***** runs up and went to jump on my back. I threw a punch, he kicked me and then I got him on the ground in a head lock and both of us punching.

I then thought back to the year 2008, it was the last day of Big Brother 9 and I remember I got in a fight with my best friend it was actually a joke but people took it seriously and thought we couldn't fight, I have had a bad rep since.

So I decided this was a chance to set things right again.

My teacher shouted 'Oh Sh*t!' and ran over to break it up, 5 of our classmates tried too and then eventually I punched him and heard something fall, he ran over again and then I heard a girl shout 'There's blood!!'

I genuienly thought I was bleeding so I backed away to see if I was alright, you know, and then it turned out I split the guy's head open and there was like blood all over my hands and face, so It looked like it was me injured.

I basically got my bag and walked to the library to calm down and then I heard the ambulance.

The guy had to get some stitches and that.
I eventually left the library and the school was walking around the halls and everyone was talking about this, I felt horrible for what I did but then people kept high fiving me and saying well done and it turns out he was basically bullying other people in other classes aswell as me.

There's blood on my top though :bawling:

Do you reckon he'll be in school tomorrow? It'll be so dramatic if he is.

The sad thing is, I was near enough dating his cousin and now she's pissed.

That is the thing, once bullies get what they deserve, they are usually ones to call the police and use the law ect. So be careful. But it's not like you assulted him, he gave as good as he got. So if he dies, worst you can be done for is manslaughter

Violence is never good but well done to you love! Bullies like to push and push until something happens well something happened. Just make sure you don't walk alone on you way home for a long while you don't know if he's sent his "girls" on you.

I once almost got my face smashed with a mirror by a girl that thought she was the shiznit but in the end it didn't happen because I killed them with sweetness and kindness. :D

Really? wHAT has happened to the world. I cant be that old. In my High School days, people fought, blood spilled, and it never went further than thte school. Unless maybe parents complain, but even then, police never got involved in stuff like that. Kids get suspended maybe, but thats about it!
Kids fight, its just the part of nature. I bet the majority of pupils these days, have never even been in a fight, ever! Where is the fun?

Yeah I reckon he'll get a caution if the guy doesnt press charges. (thats all assuming Patrick hasnt got a record).

I got in two proper fights in school once I got hit with a glass bottle to the head by some idiot but never did anything. Second time some guy came in drunk and pushed me through a window but i only had a few scrapes and cuts...still never did anything, but now its completely different....

School wont carry out any punishment just yet, in case Patrick gets interviewed and charged by the police.

Depends what the other kid and any witnesses say when they all get interviewed, if the police even get involved.

A lot also depends on what the teacher says he saw, if because he was distracted he simply says there was no trouble he noticed till the other kid jumped on Patrick, you are home and dry Paddy.

Dont lose any sleep over it, if plod does get involved they will soon see the other kid as the troublemaker.

Fighting was part of school ... the only ones who never got through school without a fight (whether inside or out) were the geeks or the people who think its right to walk away (which is the worst advice I've ever heard)

Noone wants to be a pushover, I dread to think what the majority of people will be like in 50 years time, its going to be like Stepford Wives on a mass scale

Nothing like that has ever existed in my school, there have been very few real fights in the 6 years I've been there. I'm a bit of a wimp tbh, I probably wouldnt fare all that well against most people. I stick up for myself if I need to but I never really have, I get on with most people and noones ever had a big enough problem with me to pick a fight, and I've never gone looking for one. If I can avoid conflict then I will :spin:

Every end of term, we'd always go have a massive brawl with the school down the road. It was like a tradition kinda thing lol But towards the end it mostly ended up asians V whites are our school, cos it was all pretty mixed.

OH yeah! Those were fun too. BUt I generally dont like drunken fight, because someone is always too Fcuked up, to know what they are doing, so its not really fair! I havent gotten in a fight in like 6 years, so since I was about 19. Since then, I stay away, or try to get people to stay away. At a certain age, its just pointless, and more dangerous, because you can do more damage. BUt in High School, or until youre about 18, its just common sense! LOL! :)

I've never really thought of myself as lacking self-belief though, I'm a relatively confident and outgoing person most of the time. I've just never been tempted to get in a fight, noone has annoyed me enough. If it came to it I would defend myself (well I'd try) but it never has.

If it is as bad as you're saying then the police would be called. You were able to walk off to the library?

Go home at the end of the day?

And people just got detentions. Gosh, what kind of school do you go to? With respect and anything. I don't think you're necessarily to blame because you're at school and you'd had enough of the bullying, but the teachers and the headmaster or someone senior should have done something at that time.

Don't be surprised if the police turn up tomorrow and arrest you, and then the police having to get your parent or parent to go into the police station because you're not old enough.

Yeah I agree with that. At a Sixth Form party last year two guys got into a fight, one of them got bottled, the police were then called the night ended early, everyons details were taken and the place we were at wouldnt let us go their again becuase they'd nearly lost their license serving to everyone underage.

It had been a good night until then, and that kind of just ruined it for everyone. I know a Sixth Form party is hardly the same as a night out to a club in town but you get the point.

Unfortunately sometimes you can't go without having problems. There are people who will start on you for absolutely no reason. Once, just out down near park. I wasn't old enough at time to go drinking in places and someone said I was staring at them. He was really threatening, and told me that just because I had a big brother it didn't make me hard. I wasn't even staring at him either. I'm not the type to retaliate though. I'm not that kind of person. If someone punched me or pushed me then I think it would maybe be different, but I've never had that. I try to avoid fighting in any way possible. I told my brother what he said, and my brother said that if it happened again then I'm to tell him. My brother is like strong and stuff.

Yeah, I suppose, although I've been lucky enough never to have been properly started on, other than a couple of "come on then"'s from the occasional drunk which I'm able to ignore quite easily. I dont really see why it's fun to have a fight, I'm perfectly capable of enjoying myself when I go out without feeling the need to end up having a punch-up in the middle of the street.

It is only realistic to say there is a good possibility the police will be involved.

More than lilkely just a scare tactic and a slap on the wrist, its not going to be massively severe head injury i dont think.

And if no one presses charges then it will just be a caution warning no doubt, and so it should only be that.

I consider someone to have their head 'split open' as just that, but it was probably a small wound that wouldn't stop bleeding.

I'm not saying he'll be dragged through the courts and locked up for three years, but the police might just have to get involved to document it etc - or the school called them. I don't know exactly how it all works, but I would expect the police to be involved if an ambulance had to come to the school. :)

I kind of agree, pinkmichk. Although by what Patrick posted it, it doesn't seem like he initiated the fight. I'd say he was doing it to defend himself, but he said this.

So I decided this was a chance to set things right again.
IMO that is not a good reason to end up hospitalising someone. To boost some sort of reputation? To show people you're stronger than you look? :/
I don't condone physical fighting in any way. It solves nothing and is just silly and makes the people involved look pathetic - but I understand that people do stuff without thinking when they're angry, and if someone was trying to aggressively jump on my back I would probably do something, too.

I've seen people been seriously physically hurt without the police being involved before... I guess it counts on what Dylon's parents do.

I calmed down a bit tho cause I ain't no ghetto.

careful you are likely to come off worse. You laid hands on someon the Assault, and as far as I know could be GBH, grevious bodily harm as to managed to injure someone.

I think it is trend going around schools calling people "gay", this happens at my son's school and as far as I am awayre none of the pupils are. Should be water off a duck's back.

Remember bullies have a habit of winning, you could be in deep, deep trouble. Also, why was the teacher acting so deaf?

The sad thing is, I was near enough dating his cousin and now she's pissed.

i should have done that to daryll when he tried to cut my finger off with a pair of sissors.

Although he was probably asking for it, I don't think violence is ever the right thing to do.

i disagree there as i wished i stood up for myself more when jordan and daryll were bullying me.

although when somebody came at me to have a fight i pushed him and punched him in the face and everything,it got the teachers attention and that ***** never picked a fight with me ever again.

I hate fighting and violence of any sort and I agree entirely with whoever said "two wrongs don't make a right", but I also think that sometimes the only way to beat bullies is to give them a taste of their own medicine..

Patrick didn't assault the guy; he was acting in self defense; I can imagine what this guy is like because I know people like that, and it really does take something serious to get them to back off and leave you alone. Good on you for what you did; I doubt the repercussions (if there are even any) will be serious, there are plenty of witnesses who will be able to verify that you were acting in self defense so I really don't think there's anything that you can get into trouble over! How did your parents react?

^ This, agree completely.

Agree 100%,
Just because the other guy came off worse doesn't make him the victim,If he went for you first then you had every right to defend yourself. If you had let it slide then this idiot would have carried on .You may in fact have done him a favour and thought him a lesson.

I think the people who are saying we shouldn't praise Patrick for acting against this a-whole don't really understand the situation.

Bullies never stop unless you teach them a lesson, and sure you can ignore them (which is what I do) but Patrick seems like his temper aint all that good. Maybe Patrick's reaction was a little extreme sure, but this guy was going on at him for 2 years (he said).

And before anyone gives me that 'you should tell the school' sh!t, the school ALWAYS does **** all to help students. Everyone who has been bullied knows that well.

The more you react to things though, surely the more they'll bully you to get a reaction like.

no as patrick scared away the bully and has probably put a stop to it.

True. That is the other way of taking it, which is what I do. I was just seeing it from Patrick's point of view. I try never to use violence because I am sh!te at fighting lol.

There is also a way of self defence. If Patrick can split this boy's head open then I'm sure he could have restrained him or twisted back his arm etc, not split his head open and need an ambulance.
