I can't make it to 4, I haven't had much sleep over the past few days and my eyes are beginning to become heavy. But I want to start a possible signature/avatar change, if not for just a week or so. I don't know how but I've been desperately trying to make something happen to commemorate her, even just small RIP in our signatures, I dunno.. I don't want it to be seen as too tacky but I also feel so guilty posting in other threads when something like this has happened and it's annoying me that other threads are getting posts in them when this has happened. It's just too big a thing to avoid

I was going to say you could of put like a black ribbon or something beside the logo - but that wouldn't work for two reasons:

1. We all use different skins
2. It would look more like a SOPA protest

But Marc's idea is lovely, we should do something in our Banners or User Titles perhaps.

She was a big Sheffield United fan and loved the football in general, so how about a tribute related to that too in the football forum?

It really is such terrible, sad news. The news of this death has shocked me more than any of the others on this forum, and all of them were very shocking, as you just don't expect it really.

I didn't even speak to her that much, but on the odd occasion that I did she was very warm, friendly and she would chat to anyone. A really lovely person that will be missed by all. I can't imagine how her family must be feeling :(

Yeah indeed, she sent me a lovely PM over last BB thanking me for sticking up for her in one of the threads, always felt touched by that. I always defending her whenever I could. I'm glad it's been a nice period over the forum over 2011 though, everyone got on pretty well and no hard feelings. It just still hasn't sunk in that she's not going to pop in to do the night shift as she called it as normal :(

She was such a caring and lovely person, hilarious unintentionally at times and she helped keep the soap threads active, she'll be missed a lot:(.

Can't imagine how her family must be feeling and it has affected the whole forum in some way, like what Shaun said we are an online community and most of us haven't met each other in RL but it is good how he all look out for each other on here despite the antics that go on...

In fact the soaps section in general will be affected by this because she was a big contributor to that section. She was such a lovely member, I think the whole forum will miss her hugely.

I just thought she was having a little break like she sometimes has. But by the end was starting to get a little worried, was gonna start a thread as well.

I thought she had just gone on holiday or something and forgot to tell the forum. Then when I saw the thread today I thought it was some sort of sick joke because I'd not recognised the member before and it all seemed so out of the blue but it wasn't. :(

It's a cruel world

We thought it was her internet or something like that in the towers :/

In my entire life only had one other person that i've known really well die, so even though it's a forum it feels just as bad

It's a testament that she's held is massive regard yet people didn't know an awful lot about her off-the-site

InOne

Beneath this roof at midnight, in the days

KERRY was so brilliant at it. When I'd be sleeping she'd open one. then got some other sleepless nutcases to join-in. Eventually our American FMs were nudging us to open a thread if neither of us were around exactly on the dot

Oh Kerster, what have you done. Even when not a mod you tried to calm me down when being stupid.

Kerry post:
You Learn Something New Every Day!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So they say.

What (if anything) have you learnt today that you never knew?

I didn't really know Kerry as I'm not a night owl, but whenever I'd log on in the morning, there'd usually be a new thread by her like the one above. I used to think of it as a 'thought of the day' from Kerry. It seemed whenever she'd seen something on TV or read something, she thought was interesting, she'd bring it to the forum as a discussion. She was obviously a 'deep' lady...a thinker and a caring one too.

.....What I've learned today is that life is random and cruel and unfair and if there is a reason and purpose for everything, it sometimes can be difficult to fathom. But in the end, what people hold in their hearts is all that is left of us.......and it's perfectly obvious there are hearts on this forum that Kerry has filled to capacity with warmth and love....and a huge smile
Condolences to those who knew her well edit: you are also the fortunate ones to have the memory of her in your lives and hearts, , I'm sure she had you in hers
RIP Kerry

I am still finding it very hard to believe Kerry has gone :( It just doesn't seem real, it hasn't quite sunk in yet :( I feel so deeply for her poor family and friends, as she must have been taken so suddenly, it will all be so raw and hurting so much for them and there is nothing we can do to ease that pain as much as many of us would like to :( apart from letting them know how deeply loved she was on here, and how respected she was. RIP Kerry.

Kerry was everyones friend on here, she was always there with some advice or even some humour wether you knew her well or not, I will miss her late night threads and posts and TiBB will definitely not be the same without her.

R.I.P Kerry I will never forget you ♥

I'd like to echo all you have said Ammi, first thing in a morning when I came on the comp,I would look for Kerry's posts because there was always one or more that would start the day right and bring a smile to my face.

She will be a miss greatly on here both as a poster and also in being a mod in which she excelled.
I will miss Kerry massively on here even on the rare times we didn't agree, her humour and also though in the main her supportiveness at all times was a rare talent and gift to possess but she had it in abundance.

There are people that you wish you could have met and spoken to properly in life and for me certainly Kerry was one of them.

R.I.P. Kerry, one of the very best people there could be.

I had a cheeky pizza tonight, but there's next to nothing in so had to get a takeaway. It's a chore to eat sometimes, I don't even really enjoy food, just eat to survive lol

Same. I remember we were talking in towers about how we hoped nothing bad had happened to her and we joked it was probably her dog again chewing on her internet cables then Marc text me while I was at work to tell me. :(

I miss being the time when all the night owls like me, kerry, Nathan, stacey ect were all on and actually spoke. I seem to be drifting further and further away from this forum of late, which isn't a bad thing, I just feel a little nostalgic for a couple of years back.
