I've always been a fan of it, even if it's probably the most irrelevant week of the whole lot; but it occurred to me earlier that James Bond theme tunes are absolutely epic and are, until some shockingly bad recent themes, generally accompanied by a big band. I would love to see some kind of Bond theme tune week on the X Factor, even if it's unlikely and the contestants would probably murder some classics...

IN AI they do things like songs from the contestants birth year. They should do more like that.

One of the worst weeks for me. I hate it :(

I want new themes this year, they should do more specific artists and dates, like 80's 90's 00's etc, except not like ABBA like they did a couple of years ago

the 'artist tribute' weeks are terrible. I hate them - I don't know how many there've been so far...but Britney week? Really?

A girls Aloud week might happen! lol

Aww I think on "Pop Idol" they had better themes!

I remember one week you had to sing a song in the year you was born!! That would be cool! :)

Big Band Week is a personal highlight of the Live Shows. Definitely the best 'themed' night there is.

I remember Rhydian singing on Big Band Week... "get this party started" Shirley Bassey's version! That was great :D

I think the vast majority of Big Band week song choices are dire, but the presence of the band itself is why I like the week. I'd love to hear more songs reimagined in the vein of Rhydian's Get The Party Started as thebeast mentioned; that's much more entertaining than an artist week IMO!

Oh what do you guys think to "movie theme song week" or however you say it? lol.

I don't mind that week either.. I would love someone to sing "Power of love" which is on "Back to the future"

"Don't need money, don't take fame, don't need no credit card to ride this traaaaaaain" :D

But yeah I agree.. themed weeks suck a bit.. like that "Wham" week.. bloody hell! They need to expand the choice of songs in their themes!!!

Band week seems to be the same songs over and over. Aint that a kick in the head, Mr Bo Jangles, Summertime, Feeling Good etc. It may be time to put Big band week out to pasture.

I think they did a soundtrack week before, but I suppose they could do it again.

Yeah soundtrack would expand the amount of songs you can choose from and not just songs from "films" but maybe songs from tv shows. Lol.. can imagine now someone or a group singing.. "I'll be there for you when the rain starts to fall"

They are playing it safe I suppose.

I do love the original version and Glee's version!! Joe did it okay last year.. but it has to take someone bloody special to re release it.. there has to be a bit of change to the music too.

The Climb was a sh!t choice last year.

You are joking, right?

The winners song choice is never leaked/picked this early usually.

Thank God for that...would've been an awful choice :joker:

They need to write a new song for the winner this year, like 'That's My Goal'.

I never like big band week tbh. D: You can hardly even hear them, the band's just too loud.

Yeah that was good! "A moment like this" and "Hallelujah" were good too. But them songs could only really fit singers with strong voices like Leona and Alexandra. "I believe" was such a sh!t song. Also Steve's "Against all odds" was meh as well.. maybe because Mariah Carey's and Phil Collin's versions were A LOT better.

They need to write a brand new brilliant song or I don't mind if they cover an old song.. but has to be good.

To be honest.. I would like it if the winner covered a Christmas song. The song will not be on their albulm.. maybe just on a single? Think that would be nice. I miss a good old Christmasy song reaching number 1.
