I agree with this. Very impressive how he can sing so high, but I do hope he has the ability to sing more masculine or pop and rock kinda songs, you know that way?

With the exception of Joe, because only time will tell, the X Factor has struggled to launch a successful male pop star. Shayne Ward did do well; but his success waned over time, and again time will tell if his comeback is successful... I really can't imagine Simon wanting/allowing another male singer to win it. He doesn't want Shayne or Olly 2.0; but I hope Matt does well, he deserves it!

Yeah, Matt is a pretty safe bet unless he goes the Jamie Afro/Danyl way and just doesn't get the votes. The girls have had the press and coverage though

you should hear him sing with his band('SevenSummers') he rarely uses his falsetto there so im thinking hes just trying to impress the judged cuz not alot of male vocalists can go that high and then switch to their normal voice again,

Matt has that natural ability to go into and hold the high ranges of his falsetto range and in these early rounds he has used it ti its best in order to demonstrate to the full his singing ability, the ranges he has and how it all adds to his overall performance.

He has worked extremely hard to get through to the finals,unlike some others in another category.
Really he looks the likely winner, if the songs he gets are right, he has better chance of that thamkfully with Dannii as his mentor.
