I often look at coins and stuff to see when they were made, I like to look and say like 'Oh my god look it's 2006, BB7 might of been on at that time when this was made' lol
It's just nice to hold something that was made so long ago or even made before you were born but I noticed with 10/5/20 Pound notes the date is 90% of the time:
20th April 2008
Why the ****** is nearly every pound note made on that day?
Also, I notice there hasn't been any 2010 Coins and this very fast year is almost over, what on earth?
Why haven't there been any 2010 coins then? LOL

i do that, when i have a bunch of coins i arrange them in date order :/
You don't ever see the 1p and 2p coins from 1982 anymore but you never saw the years inbetween 1982 and 1997

I assume you're talking about notes as in £5, £10, £20, £50? For a moment there I thought you were on about pund notes like £1 notes. Sorry guys its been a long day lmao...

20th April 2008 isnt the date the actual note was printed, its the date that design (in fact the last change in design in UK notes) was aithorised and signed as being authorised by the chief cashier of the Bank of England (or designated deputy for regional notes).
2010 coinage has been released, its slow coming into circulation, it still has the parts of the shield on the reverse side with normal markings and lizzie's head on the obverse.
Keep your eye out for the special one year only designs for 2010 these are
•A £5 coin commemorating the 350th Anniversary of the Restoration of the Monarchy
•A £2 coin commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the death of Florence Nightingale
•A £1 coin featuring the Coat of Arms of the City of London
•A £1 coin featuring the Coat of Arms of the City of Belfast
•A 50p celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Girl Guides
