I'm no massive fan of Leona's but to be fair to her, as far as I can remember, her series hardly had the biggest personalities around. At least in recent years they've been a bit more interesting...she'd [hopefully] stand no chance nowadays.

She has a quirky-ish voice but it's pretty weak.

Better in time was a big follow up hit worldwide actually. Spent ages in US 100 and made No10 or 11. Just because her first hit was her biggest doesnt make it the only hit. And she had other hits globally too...its not all about USA.

And her album sold 7 million. She is a recognised global name. Not many of those come from talent shows, including American Idol.

They should do an X Factor type Groups competition, like on five or something. Thats the only way a good group can get some real air time and popularity.

In all fairness Leona is the main star to come from X factor, she also became the first British female singer to top the USA charts for near 2 decades.There are only about 5 female singers from Britain who have achieved that, I think.
Sometimes,a reserved personality can be a benefit, Leona has a great voice,she showed in her year on Xfactor that a 'voice' was how to win the series.
Leona still has many years of success and recording in her.To be fair.

really like this idea, although hopefully this year the groups will fare much better in this competition, both manufactured groups are pretty strong, though no doubt people will bash them for that very reason. Simon knew what he was doing all right, I think the judges obv know beforehand which category they are getting........ or I am just being cynical ??

Getting back to Katie W, I hope she does go first, what was Cheryl thinking? Every other girl through to judges houses was stronger than her, esp Treyc. Tut tut.
