with the performances being available on itunes (thank you jesus)

we will know who is most/least popular and it will spoil the results? or
will they not show up in the itunes chart?

If they are released, I'd imagine it wouldn't be until the following monday

Oh are they?

Sorry but tbh why would anyone want to listen to them if they have the crowd cheering over the song and stuff?

This is what it says on the iTunes page:

'To protect the integrity of the X Factor competition, sales information in relation to the live contestant performances from the current season of X Factor will not be reflected in any published sales charts.'

...so sadly it looks like there's no chance of the performances charting.

You need a Full Body Massage.

They could record at the time of transmission and simply take the music and vocals from direct feed (directly from the microphones etc). Background noises like the audience would be reduced to negligible.

Thankgod. Don't want a load of karaoke tosh clogging up the charts every week. Which would mean proper artists will be pushed further down the charts and therefore possibly lose their record deals because they reached No12 instead of Top 10.

*cough* Lisa Scott Lee *cough*

For American Idol they do a studio version of the song, and its that version which is released. So maybe the same will apply for XF this year

It would just be the same as putting the performances on youtube.
