View Full Version : Nice miming from Joe
He needs to perfect his technique if he wants to get away with it

he was live.
he was live.
he wasn't, he did what Alex & Cheryl did last year and recorded a live version and then mimed to that. The mic wasn't even at his mouth at some points

Don't think he will need to perfect it, that'll be his first and last performance.
He's like Leon.

You need to learn about pop music.
Its usually has multi layered vocals therefore impossible to sing live sounding exactly the same without backing tracks.
He sang as much as he could and had backing track to fill out the sound. Sick of all this kind of ignorant nonsense...same when Alexandra performed.
These people sang week in week out to win so its pretty silly to now start questioning their abilities to sing live! lmfao

Nothing against miming at all, just saying he needs to do a better job if he wants to be convincing, after all he did go through the effort of recording a 'live' version

The guy is rubbish. Just because his Career( if u can call it that with 1 song in 2 years) had come to a stanstill , he brings out the "Shock" i'm gay storyline to get himself back in the headlines. And i use the word Shock very lightly becausei for one never believed his "OMG i fancy Cheryl" and "I Love Cheryl" lines , you could tell he wanted a bit of Louis PMSL

I'm sure he came out as straight on the front of The Sun but also said he doesn't fancy Cheryl, and both together just scream "I'm a big gay and I can't admit it"

As for the song itself... very One True Voice.

Isnt your John thread keeping you busy enough? :joker:

I couldn't admit it when I was 19 either. It's not easy being gay in a dominantly straight environment.
I predict Joe will do better than Leon.

Of course he will.
He has better looks, voice and personality. And his album actually sounds hot; very Scissor sisters.
Even if his pop career failed he'd get lots of work in the West end. He's just far far more commercial than Leon...who was a nervous wreck and could barely sing well.

I'd hardly call X Factor/showbiz a dominantly straight environment

TBH all the x factor winners wait a year after they win before they bring out a new song.... Its the runners up like JLS and Olly Murrs that bring them out sooner.

Exactly. Ridiculous when theyre called a flop before theyve even launched their careers properly!
Again, ignorance.
