Part of it could have been because he was Italian, not in a racist way but wherever a contestant is from, the whole of their hometowns often get behind them and his country can't even vote for him so thats all his friends etc excluded which must make a massive difference!

He wasn't really all that exciting. His performance was boring and, like one of the judges said, a lot of the interesting aspects of a performance come from facial expressions; wearing sunglasses totally cuts that off. Established performers can pull it off because fans are familiar with their personality, but a first performance on the X Factor is the wrong time to try and pull that off. I think that's basically why he went - forgettable performance because there was nothing there to connect with!

I can't actually believe Nicolo got put through to the live show - his voice isn't anything special and he always looked bored to me - I don't think I will miss him.

I didn't think he seemed that confident tbh. He came over like that before maybe, but in the live shows he didn't. He was a cute guy :( Sad he's gone.

Also lots of people thought of Danyl as being over-confident yet he came 4th so...
