There were only five in the final though. And even then many were voting Mario, including some Ben fans to try and get him runners up placing, or he would likely have ended up fifth placed ;)

And JJ2 was a non entity really, so for Dave to beat Mario, showed how he was way more popular than even Mario.

I thought lots of Ben fans hated Mario, because of his fallouts with Ben like daily.

He endured BB in order to gain exposure and further his career and Mario was an unwelcome distraction/temptation. Immature? Looks-wise - yes, he is very young looking for a 29 year old. Immature behaviour, no. The others all turned to Mario for good advice and comfort. He was calming, comforting, philosophical and wise beyond his years. Especially for Ben. Mario was the only one who stood by him. Mario said if someone is a true friend you stick by them whatever they do.

Sexually perverted creep. Mario was completely open and honest about his sexuality. He had no hang-ups whatsoever. He loved runnning around naked, as he said it broke the boredom and a lot of the tension in the house. His good-natured japes prevented and stopped many rows in their tracks, especially between John and Ben. One night they were going hammer and tongs at each other and Mario tried to help Ben out by prancing around with his trousers down, causing John to burst out laughing. Mario was indeed very calm in there, probably because appearing on Big Brother was his lifetime's dream. Kind of pathetic really. When I was talking about Mario's whining, I was actually referring to his toddler like tantrums when something didn't go his way. Mario was indeed very calm in there, probably because appearing on Big Brother was his lifetime's dream. Kind of pathetic really. When I was talking about Mario's whining, I was actually referring to his toddler like tantrums when something didn't go his way. "I've worked so hard to get here" when Shabby replaced him during S and R.

Of course they're all in it for the exposure, except that Ben's idea of exposure involved exceedingly tedious monologues ad nauseam, he was painfully boring and bored and whittered on and on about his 'showbiz' exploits rather like a very old, washed-up has-been, well past his sell-by date. How old is he, by the way? (Not as old as some of his followers, apparently.) He had a very irritating tick in his head and hand movements which made him appear extremely nervous. The poor thing, he did suffer in there, didn't he, like a fish out of water... Mario, on the other hand, was very calm and calming and was in his element.

Now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty. First off, you say 'He's managed to get him ostracised from the group' and yet the next day you say 'I can tell you for a fact that Ben is not isolated post Big Brother, despite Mario's attempts to cut him off, he is still in touch with Corin, Andrew and Sunshine.' You cannot have it both ways. Please get your facts straight.

As for 'whiney', 'spoiled', 'immature', 'sexually perverted creep' - let's look at the facts. If anyone was whiney, sorry, it was Ben. His voice has a drone-like, monotonous, lack of expression and several times on live feed he could be heard droning on while the camera panned in on the others falling asleep.:sleep:

Mario spoiled? I don't think so. He is very confident and quietly sure of himself, he is used to the good life and has high expectations, but is down to earth. He has a sadness about him which comes from times in his life when things have not been all sweetness and light, such as just before BB. Mario displays none of the airs and graces of the foppish, snobbish, effete Ben.

Immature? Looks-wise - yes, he is very young looking for a 29 year old. Immature behaviour, no. The others all turned to Mario for good advice and comfort. He was calming, comforting, philosophical and wise beyond his years. Especially for Ben. Mario was the only one who stood by him. Mario said if someone is a true friend you stick by them whatever they do.

Sexually perverted creep. Mario was completely open and honest about his sexuality. He had no hang-ups whatsoever. He loved runnning around naked, as he said it broke the boredom and a lot of the tension in the house. His good-natured japes prevented and stopped many rows in their tracks, especially between John and Ben. One night they were going hammer and tongs at each other and Mario tried to help Ben out by prancing around with his trousers down, causing John to burst out laughing. Just as well as John was 'gidding ingry'. Even Corin changed her mind after her initial shock and look at them now, the best of buddies. (Mind you, she had her own moments in the house with JJ2, didn't she?)

The reason Mario wants nothing to do with Ben is simply that he doesn't like him. He was terribly hurt when he knew just how terrible Ben's bitching had been and as far as he's concerned Ben is history. Ben's 'honest and quite funny observations of Mario' were incredibly hurtful and far from funny for Mario and his fans. That was the problem with Ben. He could be quite funny but always at the expense of a hm and their fans, and it has to be said, his number one target was Mario. And when Mario eventually realised what was going on and dared to have a go back at Ben, telling him how fake he was, Ben and his fans were outraged and indignant, as if Mario should have taken it all on the chin and gone along with it. Then, and only then, would Mario have gone down in my estimation. As it was, Mario had to make it clear that he was not prepared to be the foolguy and put up with Ben's spiteful and childish behaviour.

There are lots of projects still being explored by Ben and for Ben as to his future, the one thing for certain is he is likely to be in great demand.

What materialises will need to be a wait and see thing, but I have little personal doubt that BEN will be on the TV screens regularly and it may even be that his writing and journalistic expertise will be used much more on the domestic front too as well as Internationally.

My cat killed a mole once - he is a ferocious hunter, and I often get gifts of rabits, squirrels, pigeons, water voles etc. But his mole was huge - far bigger than my cat. He usually has a really good go at eating his prey - but the mole was untouched. I have since found out that this is common, because they taste very bitter :yuk:

I am no longer a member of DS, but if I was I would try and coax him from the saftey of the BB appreciation threads on that site to the open BB forum there, and start an ask Mario questions thread, and see if he would happily answer the questions put forward to him, as Cameron who I was not a fan of re BB, does with such good humour and good replies to posts on his Ask Cameron a question thread on that site. In all honesty I would doubt he could handle the main forum, as it can be hard hitting and straight to the point, and Mario seems to thrive on any adoration he can get from his few fans.

The majority of us debate the ex housemates, and if we don't like some of their persona in and outside the BB house, then we have every right on a 'BB' forum to debate and say so if we read posts from Mario dissing fans and other forum members from the 'Safety' of appreciation threads and even Twitter and his egging on his few fans he has left to do the same, especially against Ben fans? what's that all about, choosing to to jump on one particular fandom :conf: and some of Mario's fans reckon Mario is such a nice guy? :conf: I would rather befriend as an example, a Rotweiller, at least I would know what to expect rather than that Mole. Mario needs to let go of his resentment towards Ben and his supporters, likewise for some of his supporters too, you cant keep complaining about Ben fans slagging him off when he and his lot keep baiting and goading, the AT's are meant to be happy places and are there for positive comments, a place where like minded people can get together in surity that there will be no dissention.

Excuse me would you care to explain exactly where 'ALL' were slagging Mario off if you are going to make such an accusation. As far as I could see, the Bennites were doing no more than giving their opinions and views on Mario and others ex BB housemates including Ben. The only slagging off as you call it is done in a few other appreciation threads and the main forum by the same few fanatical posters on another site. Mario himself has to spit his venom in other appreciation threads and gets away with it there. I get you are a 'big' Mario fan and will defend him to the hilt, so maybe you could step back from the accusations aimed at Ben fans somewhat and as you know Mario, to ask if he could kindly do the same. It would be much appreciated.

As for reading tweets and such, it is everyones perogative no matter who they support, so they can get the gist of someones personality. After all, you read Ben stuff/threads, as much as you seem to dislike Ben, and no way would I be so presumptious as to say don't please. Also I have no issues at all whatsoever if ex housemates don't want to remain in touch, but some of them like Mario need to have some decorum in their posts, and stop digging at other fans, at Ben fans especially, and needs to know that an appreciation threaed is just that, so when he invites questions to do so in the open forum, or is he too worried to do that?
