View Full Version : Does anyone even care about BB anymore?
Inspired by someones post about kicking BB to the kerb. Its over, thats all well and done but a month on I don't really feel that bothered about it and I'm not sad it won't be returning. The C5 rumours actually kind of fill me with dread at the prospect of it returning. It was a good show in its day but I think I'm over it all now and don't really care about the future of it.
anyone else feeling the same or do some people actually love the show like its still in its heyday?

Was talking about this last night, and at the moment I'm really not bothered, maybe because the final series was so shocking. I'd rather it stayed off screen for a few years tbh so if/when it comes back I can maybe rediscover my love for it.
I might feel differently when it comes to next summer and there's a big void not filled by BB but right now I'm pretty meh.

Still wnat it back, its original idea still has a fair bit of mileage. It really can only be as good as the people in it so hopefully if it goes to Channel5,they do better at the selection process of housemates. Also remove the obsession with silly fake romances and invent really taxing but entertaining tasks.
Oh and include in any agreements with housemates that if they ask more than once to leave then they will be told to go.

This site seems to be over it yeah and I just noticed in your post that I spelt Kerb wrong in my Original Post lol
But yes anyway, I do care about it.
I still want it to return but like it's sort of like I'm getting on kind of fine without it, it does feel as if someone's died though and you're moving on but then came the month anniversary were I mourned it again lol
I still have:
Big Brother 1, 2, 3 and 4 to watch.
Along with, CBB1, 2 and 3 to watch and Teen Big Brother, PLUS Rewatching old series.
I think it will hit me and everyone else harder than it ever has in Summer 2011 when there's no Big Brother or when it's June 4th and everyone is like 'Oh my god, this time last year BB11 was just starting'.
There is still times when I think 'What a crap day I just can't wait to get in and watch BB Live' or when my room is quiet and I sort of go to put on BB Live Stream as I did have it on all summer, or even in school when I'm like 'Oh I wonder what Brian and Chantelle etc are doing in the house right now?' and then I realise within a second it's over and all our housemates no longer are housemates and the house we watched all summer is probably destroyed inside :(

Does that mean you enjoyed or disliked BB9?

It will probably hit me in January, when there's no Celebrity Big Brother. There is **** all to watch in that month apart from Skins. I will definitely feel the effects more in the summer though...when there literally is nothing to watch, and I will have to find something to do...
It hasn't really hit me yet as a result, and so right now I'm not that bothered.

BB11 was probably my second favourite series. In fact I think I preferred 9, 10 and 11 to some of the previous ones so it would be a shame to see it finish. I want Big Brother to continue for TiBB too.

The way I see it is if it returns and the format is ****ed with, I'd rather it didn't return. If it does return, the format and the "way" it's done (i.e. no music on evictions/tasks, keep the isolation, keep Marcus Bentley etc) would HAVE to stay the same.

Hopefully it will never be brought back, was absolutely awful after CBB6. Actually only really enjoyed 2 series' (BB9 & CBB6)

loved the first half - gave up after the eviction of Rebecca :P
Nah. For me, BB died after BB9.
With the exeption of CBB7, the 4 series after BB9 (BB10, 11, CBB6, UBB) were as though BB was no longer on and it was a cheap replacement we had. In fact I'd like to extend that to after BB7 with BB9 and CBB7 being the 2 exceptions between CBB5 and UBB

I still care about John and Josie. But the actual show? No I think it ended when it should have ended and it should be left alone now.
Not me ..... it was well past its sell-by date .....

Still the best reality show. I'd take it over X Factor any day.

I really really couldnt give a crap about it anymore. Just want it to disappear now. Im looking forward to enjoying a summer without bb. Actually spending my evenings out doing something without staying in glued to my tv watching a bunch of nobodys to pretty much nothing. I loved it when it was on but looking back im glad its over now!

I'm glad it's gone, and I wish BB10 had been the last one because BB1 was so bloody awful. Easily surpassed BB4 and 8 as the worst series' ever.
Nope i am glad it has gone because it had died imo,but it will still remain my number 1 tv show.

It will hit in Summer when it doesnt return and you find yourself quite bored, the celeb version I can take or leave anyway.

Still the best reality show. I'd take it over X Factor any day.
It never was the best reality show, never mind still. The Real World has always been the king of Reality TV and always will be.

Its over because of the house mates they picked. It still had a big following amongst people who always watched it. What killed it was the house mates they picked. They should not of picked some of the utter rubbish they did for BB11 and UBB.
They turned it into a freak show with people being desperate.
John James and Joise summed it up. Two desperate people with utter delusion.

Nah. For me, BB died after BB9.
BB9 was the best ever series.
And I still miss it, like most of the time now I dont think of it, but when I do, it makes me really down, the show helped me through alot of bad times, the worst few days was after it finished.
Next summer will be the worst, but I read in 'The Daily Star' that CBB is coming back in January because of the brilliant ratings of this year's CBB, but that probably not true.
So yeah, I still miss it alot :bawling:

Not bothered no, it was so bad towards the end, I actually think looking back now, I'm glad it went when it did.
The celebrity one is still good. Maybe they'll get Jim Davidson and Julien Clarey next time.

The show stopped being good during BB8.
And to that forum member who keeps banging on about The Real World, get over it. No one cares. And that "World" is far from real.
