Nothing unexpected but he's finally confirmed it putting an end to a lot of rumours

The next question is will Simon follow suit? Next years will be broadcast when X Factor is meant to be on so thats probably likely too. and if Simon is going then they might think to do a big clearout and get rid of Amanda too

Axe it - well, if Simon leaves that is. Replace Piers with Sharon or Louis please. But to be honest I really don't like the idea of BGT in X Factor's slot and X Factor in BGT's slot - X Factor is essentially the beginning of the countdown to Christmas and I can't picture it on at any other time. And BGT was absolutely dreadful this year, at least X Factor still has life in the format [considering this year's Finalists are probably the second best ever].

I just can't understand why Simon and Dermot [if they pick him as XF USA host] can't just fly back and forth every week during the autumn/winter for both versions of the X Factor. I'm sure if Len Goodman can do it between Strictly/Dancing With The Stars [I think it's him] then why can't they? Can't he air X Factor midweek over there or something? I know the states will make him more money but it just seems unfair that we have to be pushed aside. How about airing their series in the spring and we retain our X Factor during autumn/winter?

I'm glad. He was so annoying.
