Tabby not making the series 1 final was a shock, in series 2 Andy finished 2nd losing out by 1.2% and Ben was favourite to win for most of X Factor 3 so I'd hardly say she never came close to winning. It was only series 4 that she messed up

Hardly a nobody as all the judges had been massively impressed with Leona right from the auditions, I am sorry but I don't recall her being classed as a nobody at any time in that series of X Factor.

However big band week was early on in the series, week three in fact, so clearly if Ben had been a favourite at all then he wasn't for more for 2 weeks as you even say it turned for Leona on big band week, week 3 of the series.
