The X Factor contestants are all looking forward to performing songs from Musical Heroes this weekend.
'My song choice is by an artist people will remember from years and years to come' said Rebecca Ferguson.
Whilst Belle Amie said the public can look forward to them performing a song that would never normally appear on X Factor.
Katie Waissel teased that if she told the public, we would immediately know who it is however did give the clue that the group she is performing to are very rock and roll.
Contestants TreyC Cohen, Aiden Grimshaw and Mary Byrne are all worried about hitting high notes in their songs, TreyC said that her song includes a high note at the end that alot of people really love.
One Direction are worried that this week's theme could get in the way of their performance resulting in them leaving The X Factor.
Which songs do you want to see performed this week then?
Hope Katie doesn't do Queen again or something, Hope Wagner sings Bob The Builder.
I mean he's obviously a hero, what other kids TV show has gotten to Christmas Number 1?

I'm glad it's a broad theme, it's essentially anything from what I gather as it's seems subjective to each act rather then a set list. This week will either be really good or completely awful based on the choices.

Bet no one attempts or does an OASIS song. OASIS, 'real' musical heroes. For some reason largely ignored by X Factor song selectors.

I have thought that myself as I can't recall any Oasis songs in the X Factor 'live' shows.
Thats a pity becasue there is a wealth of varied and really great songs in the Oasis catalogue. If Noel and Liam allowed the MIKE FLOWERS POPS to do Wonderwall,I doubt they'd have a problem with their songs on X Factor.
Maybe you are right on the copyright though, but if not then a major part of 'real' Musical legends music is bypassed on X Factor.

Oasis are, if I remember correctly, vehemently opposed to the X Factor, as are many other musicians, I think that's probably why a lot of well known musicians tend to be avoided... but as Billy said, Rachel sang SCYHO; Leona covered it for a single; Bad Lashes sang Wonderwall...

She has enough songs, by far one of the biggest fan bases any artist has had in a few years and she's known world wide plus she's current.
You'd attract more viewers with a GaGa week than you would by doing a Madonna Week or ANOTHER Michael Jackson week lol
I don't think Lady GaGa has enough well known songs to give everyone a chance of singing something well known, there are fourteen of them after all. On the other hand, a Michael Jackson week would bore me, they've done his songs to death on there.

They could do it later in the competition, where they all have to sing two songs, like they did in Britney week, one could be GaGa and one could be, idk something else :p
