Mine was just on C4...
One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish
Homer takes his family to the new sushi bar, The Happy Sumo. After sampling most of the items on the menu, he tries sushi made from the fish fugu. The chef in charge is busy having sex with Edna Krabappel, so his apprentice has to slice the fugu, of which certain parts are toxic. The apprentice tries to do it carefully, but Homer starts yelling impatiently, and disturbing the apprentice and forcing him to serve it. Homer considers it a treat, but the chef soon returns and finds that the fish has not been prepared correctly and tells Homer that he may have been poisoned. Homer and Marge go to the hospital, where Dr. Hibbert informs Homer he is indeed very likely to die and has twenty-four hours left to live. At night with Marge by his side, he decides not to tell his children about the bad news and makes a list of all the things he wants to do before he dies.
On his last day, after oversleeping, Homer attempts to do all the things on his list. He has a man-to-man talk with Bart, listens to Lisa play her saxophone, and borrows Flanders's camcorder to make a video for Maggie that she can look at when she is older. Homer finally reconciles with his father Abe, which takes up far more time than he expects and forces him to give up doing some of the things on his list. After trying to catch up on time he lost doing these things, Homer is arrested for speeding. He calls Barney, who is asked to pay $50 to bail him out. Leaving jail and with not much time left, he tells off his boss Mr. Burns and has one last drink at Moe's Tavern with his friends, causing him to miss dinner with his waiting family. He then hurries home in time to say goodbye to his children and make love to Marge.
At midnight, Homer quietly gets out of bed, visits each family member, who are all asleep, and says goodbye. Feeling glum, he goes to the living room and listens to Larry King read the Bible on tape. The tape plays out to which suddenly his head drops and it appears he has succumbed to the poison. Marge awakens the next morning and is panicked that her husband is not by her side. She runs downstairs and finds Homer, collapsed in the armchair. As she mourns, she realizes that his drool is still warm. She wakes him up and drums in the fact that he is alive. Homer then prances around in an overjoyed state and vows to live life to its fullest. In typical Homer fashion, he is soon back on the couch watching a bowling tournament and eating pork rinds.
The bit where he kisses everyone goodnight makes me well up.

It made me sad :(
Mines are probably the treehouse of horror episodes...they're very enjoyable. I like this episode too.
Marge is out jogging one morning and discovers a booth offering free samples of "Science Water." After consuming too many free samples, she desperately searches for a public toilet, finding one in Springfield Elementary School. Afterwards, she walks through the halls and is appalled to discover that Springfield Elementary is the worst school in the state, replete with apathetic teachers and overcrowded classrooms. Marge and Homer, concerned for their children's future, decide to rent an apartment in the upscale Waverly Hills school district so Bart and Lisa can attend a better school. Bart and Lisa are thrilled at the prospect of a fresh start. Bart, eager to establish his reputation as a "bad boy," is shackled and led away by Chief Wiggum, leaving the other students in awe. Once away from Waverly Hills Elementary, though, it is revealed that Chief Wiggum "arrested" Bart as a favor, if Bart promises to attend Ralph Wiggum's birthday party, although he forgets to go to the party, and really gets in trouble with the law. Meanwhile, Lisa is having difficulty making friends, and actually gets a B+ on a test. Bart, noticing his sister's gloomy mood, lies to several popular school girls that Lisa is a friend of an immensely popular teen singer named Alaska Nebraska (voiced by Ellen Page). Marge and Homer learn that they will be visited by a school inspector to confirm that the Waverly Hills apartment is indeed the residence of Bart and Lisa, so Homer moves in and befriends two college boys.[2]
Homer adopts a bachelor lifestyle, playing videogames and attending parties with his newfound college friends, and he and Marge begin to act as though they were newly dating. Lisa has become popular with several of her classmates, but only because they want backstage passes to an upcoming Alaska Nebraska concert. Lisa sneaks into Alaska's dressing room and pleads her case, but Alaska is unsympathetic and Lisa is removed from the venue by security. She admits to her fair-weather friends that she was not Alaska Nebraska's friend, and the girls chase her, but she loses them.
Meanwhile, the ominous school inspector visits Homer's Waverly Hills apartment. Homer and Marge frantically lay out toys and Krusty the Clown dolls in an effort to convince the inspector that the children live there. While he is getting inside, he uses the captive bolt pistol to shoot out the lock. He concludes that the apartment is the residence of the Simpson children, but admits that he was "hoping to kill them and make it look like a suicide." Bart and Lisa, however, plead to return to Springfield Elementary. Lisa in particular wishes to return, because she would rather "be ostracized for being me, not who I pretend to be." Marge and Homer concur, but wistfully state that they will miss their "love nest" apartment. The episode concludes with Homer and Marge using the backyard treehouse as their new love nest, much to Bart's chagrin, but he soon changes his mind when Homer threatens to ground him
Oh and the one, where there's killings and it ends up being the person who killed himself trying to be Homer (that's if you know what I mean)

Probably my personal favorite episode is Rosebud which is the one where Mr. Burns tries to find his childhood teddy bear Bobo. I love it when Homer is trying to get the bear from Maggie by playing with a box and when Maggie shows interest in the box Homer says "no no, my box, my box".

Plot summary: Marge gets mugged outside the Kwik-E-Mart and she starts feeling vulnerable and becomes scared to leave the house. Dr. Hibbert diagnoses her with agoraphobia. The family tries to help her get back out of the house, but their efforts drive into living in the basement. In the basement she finds their unused weight set and she begins working out. Two weeks later she is stronger than she ever was and realizes that she can leave the house. In fact while celebrating her release from her fears, she confronts and beats the crap out of her mugger. While out working out, Marge runs into Ruth Powers, the neighbor she once went on the lam with. Ruth tells her about how steroids can help her to get bigger. Marge starts taking the supplements and gets into a women’s bodybuilding competition. She takes 2nd place, which only entices her to do better next time. At Moe’s she tears the place apart when she suffers from steroid rage. Homer makes her realize that she has become everything that she can’t stand and she destroys the weight set.
The bit where they try and coax her out of the house is hilarious. Then she beats up her mugger and says, "You've just been Margenalised!" :worship:

Black Widower
The Simpsons have dinner with Aunt Selma and her new boyfriend, Sideshow Bob, Bart's arch-enemy. According to Bob, while he was in prison he spent every moment planning his revenge on Bart for exposing his plan to frame Krusty the Clown; after receiving Selma's response to his "Prison Pen Pal" ad, he was inspired to become a model prisoner and earned an early release.
Bob proposes to Selma and she accepts. He makes an appearance at a Krusty the Clown telethon and makes amends; Lisa encourages Bart to forgive Bob, but he refuses to believe he has changed. When Selma discovers that Sideshow Bob detests her beloved MacGyver, the marriage is nearly called off until he agrees to Homer's suggestion to take a walk when Selma watches it.
Selma reveals that she is unconcerned about money, as she made a good profit in the stock market; Bob tells her he hopes he is not marrying her for her money. She also reveals that she has no sense of smell or taste and has cut back on cigarettes, now smoking only after meals and after episodes of MacGyver. Selma sends the Simpsons a tape of their honeymoon, including Bob's tirade over the absence of a gas fireplace in their hotel room. Bart realizes that Selma has one hour to live and the Simpsons rush to the hotel room.
In the hotel, when Selma retires to watch MacGyver, Bob enjoys a drink downstairs. The hotel room explodes behind him. He goes back to the wrecked room, assuming Selma is dead, but she is unscathed and the Simpsons are waiting for him along with the police. Bart explains how he deduced Bob's plot: Bob opened the gas valve in the room knowing Selma would not smell the leak, then left while she watched MacGyver, knowing that Selma would light a cigarette afterwards and cause an explosion. Bob asks why the room still exploded if Bart foiled his plot. Chief Wiggum explains that he absent-mindedly threw a match into the room after smoking a celebratory cigar. Bob is taken away by the police, vowing revenge.

So many greats to choose from. If I made a top 10 list of my favorites and then pretended they didn't exist and chose my next favorite set of 10 episodes I would still have a list I'd be proud of. The show was that good.
Years ago in this thread I mentioned Rosebud was my favorite episode (and it still is) but I would say a close second is Homer Goes to College. The show was at its creative high-water mark when it was made. This one clip from the episode is funnier than an entire season of the show today.
