That no girls have left so far, four eliminations in and they're all still there. Almost unheard of given the typical voting audience, It's a nice change though most female contestants usually never get much of a chance.

I guess it's more a reflection on the quality of the other contestants this year. I think the right acts were eliminated this week.

I agree, still it's quite peculiar as the quality of the acts only usually plays a part in the voting so given that the voting audience is largely women it's surprising that there's not been any that have gone given the previous track records in this show and others.

Yes I agree, but I am kind of gobsmacked that Wagner is still there (much as I like him as a novelty act) and Aiden who, I think, really messed up this week with a song way out of his comfort zone. Storm seemed to have lost his way completely the last couple of weeks (I had high hopes of him), and Diva Fever are fun but were never going to last the distance, so I'm not surprised they went.

I think the girls this year are overall top quality. I think there are several potential winners this year, Matt, John, Paije, Rebecca, Mary, Treyc, Katie - any of them at this point in time.

They've been kept afloat by the padded top 16. There are a couple of novelty acts, a couple of forgettable male singers and a couple of forgettable bands. I can only see Rebecca and Cher finishing in the top 8; I think Treyc may be the victim of a shock elimination.
