Theres one almost every year, usually in week 5. Who do you reckon it will be this year? My money is on Treyc or Rebecca

Hopefully One Direction
Mary , TrayC wouldnt be a shock, im expecting her to be out soon if she continues to sing boring power ballads...

I'll put my bet on Aiden going...perhaps next week.
I can see it being Mary actually, no one will be expecting her to go. But otherwise, probably Rebecca or TreyC.

LOL. Everybodies saying the same people so it can't be that much of a shock!

Shock in the sense that it'll be a travesty they go so early; but they will inevitably go out far sooner than is fair. For example, Treyc going but Wagner still being in the competition, that'd define the shock exit.

But Rebecca and TreyC are not big personalites so it wouldnt be a great shock really. As much as we know they are the better singers.
If you know Xfactor then I dont think you'd be too surprised. Viewers vote for underdogs and can be a bit perverse too. Plus the best acts often are presumed to be safe. I think this is what did Laura in.

I predict there will be some sort of drama involving cher, maybe a scandal or mental health issue possibly with her leaving of her own accord or because she will be unfit to perform.
aiden and rebecca will be voted out well before the final

Rebecca or possibly Mary. I dont think Treyc would be that shocking tbh.

Who cares if they're big personalities or not? The shock element comes down to that sense of what's fair; someone with immense vocal talent going out before someone who does not = shocking. I'm not sure why you're wording the second half of your post in that way; I think everyone is aware of how the X Factor works; how the voting works and how presumption is the undoing of many good acts. Just look at JLS and Olly from the last two years; both dropped into the bottom two just a couple of weeks before the final because their fans grew lazy; and then went on to finish in 2nd place!

Er, because its a popularity contest. Personalities can be equally as vote grabbing as good voices.
So weaker personalities going would not be a shock.

It's a singing contest marred by popularity contests . That's an absolutely valid and correct point; but it doesn't change the basics of what a shock result is. Nobody cares that Diva Fever went on Sunday; but imagine if they'd been in the bottom two against Treyc and survived? Or to give you a real example; Gamu not going through to the live shows caused a massive outcry; people were outraged that acts perceived as weaker (Cher and Katie) went through over her.
