I hope she doesn't win for the reason she is limited as to what she can do and really she shouldn't be there in the frist place.

Cheryl will do all she can to ensure she wins but there are, as niamhxo said, others who are far better than Cher and also who will deliver on those really strong dramatic and vocal performances that is needed to win the X Factor.

On those talents Cher doesn't come anywhere near to being even close.

She's not going to win. She's a female that people have a split opinion over; that's the nail in the coffin right there. Leona won by virtue of having a fantastic voice and little in the way of serious competition. Alexandra won because the early favourites messed up of their own accord and then she was hastily emphasised as the favourite because they wanted Cheryl to win on her first year; so they got her a duet with Beyoncé and were suddenly full of praise for her; but in the early stages, Simon was keen to disregard her as "generic black female with impressive voice #42154" by slating her in the first few weeks.

One Direction are looking like the favourites to win IMO. They'll definitely cruise their way to the final at least, they might not go on to win it but they'll definitely be there until the bitter end. If you look at the last time Simon lost a couple of acts early on (Series 5) he managed to get Eoghan all the way to the final because he could focus solely on him. Simon will lose Belle Amie either this week or next, and then he'll become unstoppable with his Bieberband.

Penny finally dropped today, after the newspaper article about Cheryl and her mini-me, which is why I started the thread.

I can see it all now ...

It's like history repeating itself - Cheryl Tweedy Mk II auditions and wins the X Factor.

Next year she will hook up with a footballer, who will cheat on her, she will be the nation's darling, appear on the next series of the X Factor's first live show and see her first single reach number six in the charts before plummeting to no. 20.

Not 100% true maybe some like her because they like her personality, get her and like the signing.

I don't think Cher will win either but looking at what some people who have done that haven't won XF e.g. JLS, Diana and Jedward then it isn't the end of the world..

Oh, didn't you hear? When she said that she'd "written the lyrics", according to some FMs, that's not what she meant. The clue wasn't in the words at all! Apparently, what she meant by "I've written the lyrics" was actually "someone else wrote them".
