Where's Bill Bailey? He was dying to play a dwarf. Pity.

Don't you watch eastenders? I think there is a guy from that in it

Not really, I'd see the odd half episode each week. The EE guy doesn't look familar.

And I'd like to see Captain America: The First Avenger.

Won't be as good as the 3 movies they've already made because the book isn't.

Can't wait for this but I don't see why they need to make two films personally because the book isn't very long.

Nah, I prefer the Hobbit, always have.

Are Ian McKellen and Cate Blanchett returning? I'm sure Galadriel was in the book.

But Sean from Eastenders? God, don't think I could take him seriously. And that line about him being a "champion sword fighter" just made me lol for some reason.

They look a bit too comedy-ish for me..

Here the first look at the three dwarves from Peter Jackson’s two-part Hobbit adaptation, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There And Back Again, currently filming in New Zealand (images courtesy of our sister title Total Film). Apparently they’re Nori, Dori and Ori, though don’t ask us which is which (though they’re played by Jed Brophy, Mark Hadlow and Adam Brown You’ll notice there’s a big gap at the top of the picture which usually indicated the image has been taken with a cover shot in mind (that’s where mags can put logos or headlines) but the mind boggles which mag would want this hairy bunch as cover stars. Any suggestions?

The guy on the far right of both pictures looks like the dude who played all the oompa loompas in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Looks really good. This might be the movie that'll actually get me to go the cinema in the first time in forever.

Amazing to think it's been about 10 years since the LotR trilogy.

It wouldn't be surprised that with how long it's took to make that it ends up being **** tbh, or never comes out like Final Fantasy Versus lol.

Apparently it's a real grind to watch. 2 Hours 49 Mins :o

I read the Hobbit years ago and can't remember much about the story. But it was definitely aimed more at kids. I'm probably going to see it on Christmas Eve though so hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

Marc

Is it going to be split into 3 films?

King Gizzard
13-12-2012, 09:39 PM
and apparently nothing much happens in the first hour of it but Cameron just wanted to keep it as close to the book as he could and just drag it out

I still can't get past the fact that most of the characters look the same and you can pretty much tell they're wearing make-up or whatever you call it

Marsh.
13-12-2012, 09:48 PM
I'm surprised it's so long considering they're stretching it over 3 films.

Sounds like overindulgence.

Saw it last week, think a lot of the first hour was really unnecessary and that

The eagles could have flown them to the mountain and saved us on another 2 films

I liked the first hour, you kinda get to know all the characters and you get to see what Bilbo is like.

I just watched this on Netflix, I actually enjoyed it more than Lord of the Rings. I didn't mind the first hour just being the start of the adventure, Fellowship of the Ring was pretty much the same, it helps establish all of the characters.
