Yeah okay, I'll admit, I'm not exactly crazy for COD. Call me narrow minded, but if you've played one you've played them all in my view. I prefer the silliness and mayhem of Left 4 Dead, even though that itself is running on the positively ancient Source Engine.

They aren't completely overhauling the CoD multiplayer, but they are adding some pretty big things. For example, they're adding a new currency system called CoDPoints. This is in addition to the xp system but currency allows you to buy your favourite guns, weapons, attachments, killstreak rewards etc when YOU want. Another thing are the wager matches I mentioned which allow you to gamble your CoDPoints in matches. For example there's a new wager match type called Sticks and Stones. You get a Ballistic Knife (a knife you can shoot) and a tomahawk (throwing knife) and a crossbow. If you kill anyone with a tomahawk then you bankrupt them. I could go on and on about the wager matches though lol.

And I've never played Left 4 Dead, I'm a PS3 guy. :D But I'm sure you've played Nazi Zombies at some point? Didn't you like it? If so then they're bringing it back in Black Ops with access to modern-ish weapons like the AK-47 (my favourite gun in Mw2 :love:) for killing all those zombies.

I know! I'm allowed to play CoD: Mw2 and Fallout 3 which are both 18's. I think its because you can randomly beat people up. (Which I can do on Fallout, but with a much cooler plasma gun. :shrug:)

I have mine pre ordered at Tesco. Thats only cause last year when everyone else was sold out on launch, Tesco still had stacks of copies left.

And don't even open the 'Infinity Ward are amazing, Treyarch suck' can of worms lol. Infinity Ward are the crappiest developer ever. They put in countless things in one game (Mw2) that make it feel unbalanced and unfair. Here are some examples: tac knifes, one man army noob tubing, shotgunning, marathon (perk), commando (perk - this actually doubles your melee knife distance O_o) and painkiller. Don't get me wrong, Mw2 is a good game, its just Infinity Ward are a bunch of a-holes. They add things to the game and when their community constantly complains about it, they do ***** all. Treyarch however are trying to balance the CoD multiplayer a lot more. They've removed stopping power, shotguns as secondaries and a bunch of other things to make the game more fair. Btw I'm only defending Treyarch because I think they actually are making the effort to create a more balanced game whereas Infinity Ward just slapped on tonnes of stupidly powerful guns, perks and killstreaks into one game.. Anyways rant over lol.

As for zombies? I'm stupidly excited for it. I just hope the PSN servers don't crash again like they did last year when Mw2 came out. :dance2:

I'm not to bothered about COD, I like the single player but the multiplayer modes are annoying, I don't like how you have to level up to gain access to guns. It makes it very unfriendly to new players really.

I like single palyer better too- and i use to love online play during the COD4 days but now its actually a bunch of d**ks playing who sit with like a laptop beside them to boost and do all sorts- those people annoy me so much.

They're phasing this out so to speak in Black Ops, the new CoD Points system allows you to choose which guns you wanna unlock with your points. Your level no longer dictates that now.

Call of Duty: Black Ops was released on the 9th November 2010. Some players got it a day before, due to the fact that they pre-ordered the game. The game features Zombies, taken place in an large 'arena' with alot of doors, Perks-o-Cola and Pack-a-Punch. The main menu of Black Ops features an small room with monitors and an electrocution kit. In the start of the Single Player campaign, the player is electrocuted for information about his missions. Then flash-backs to his missions take place, and you must take part in them. One of the missions features Sgt. (but not Sgt any more) Resnov, who you may recognize from Call of Duty: World at War. Electrocution happens throughout the campaign, to the player. Some missions require you to drive, fly, turrent-gun and some don't. Black Ops Multiplayer has excellent personalisation options, including an emblem on the side of your guns, and 'Wager Matches' as well as 'Theater Mode'. You can add attatchments to guns including a flamethrower, grenade launcher and Red Dot Sight. You also earn CoD Points, which allows you to participate in Wager Matches as well as buy guns, equipment, perks and special weapons. The new Crossbow has been introduced in the Single Player campaign aswell as avaliable in Multiplayer. You need XboxLIVE (Xbox 360), PlaystationNetwork (PS3) or an internet connection (PC).

Multiplayer is great but the single player campaign is horrible. The 'deep' storyline comes off as very half baked and it's too Michael Bay. I know it's a war game but it's too noisy and too action packed non stop. No pacing at all.

The Vietnam level in the early third of the game, for instance. Just horrible. It's like they threw airplanes, tanks, bombs and little brown Asian guys at you non stop just for the heck of it. Theirs no structure.

Yeah the campaign was a bit dodgy. It confused me at times. And the Vietnam level wasn't great, the helicopter portion was really piss poor, it was so hard to actually shoot down the other chopper. :bored:

The maps on multiplayer confuse the ******* out of me and the gameplay seems sort of different to MW2... I haven't played zombies yet because I'm too scared to play it on my own haha! Anyway, it's probably cos I love MW2 so much that I don't really like this. MW2 > ALL.

Btw anyone know if there'll be a MW3? Makarov needs to die LOL.

LOL yeah the campaign is a little weird and don't worry about the maps, you'll get used to them soon enough.

There is gonna be a MW3 but its not gonna be released until 2012 I think. A new developer is working on a new CoD game for this year (I think). But I'm not too sure about it because this new developer has only made role playing games before (i.e games like Fallout).

LOL I know its really confusing at first. I didn't get the story until that level where you break out of the chair.

Oh and have you tried the other zombie map yet, you know Five? Thats my favourite one. I hate the guy that comes along an steals your gun on there LOL I actually screamed when I first saw him. He scared the crap outta me.

Just a lil bump cos I've finally made a strong opinion on this game :p after nearly a month of having the game I've completely changed my mind and I loves it. :3 Actually found myself playing the campaign a few times cos the story still confused me, but fair play Woods made the campaign story for me, he is quality. xD 'you can't kill ME!' He's not dead btw, he's being held in a prisoner of war camp called Hanoi, which is one of the multiplayer maps.. found out about it on the intel for Payback and on Mason's mail in the terminal.

Done most of the trophies now too, just the zombie ones and veteran campaign to do, and wth is the pentagon thief? Don't think I've had him yet...

A sequel to this game is being hinted at on the terminal too :3 I feel so sad knowing this lmao.

I'm going to buy this again tommorow. I bought it on launch, got really into the multiplayer for like a week, then sold it because the trade in value was high and I'm a bit of an impulsive dick.

It's calling me back. Although I hear Nuketown gets played way too much. Sometimes Nuketown is just damn annoying.

Yeah Nuketown can be annoying at times but its Firing Range I've noticed being a bit overplayed recently. I think its a good tie to re-buy it though Stu, ya know with the maps being out and all.

Yeah the map pack was released Feb 1st or 2nd but it has Xbox exclusivity for one month, then the Playstation 3 gets it. It costs £12? Yeah its a bit expensive but its better value than usual. You get 5 maps in all. And they all look pretty decent. :)

Go and get it Karl seriously :) when I first bought it I thought I wasn't going to be able to get into it properly, after 3/4 missions into the campaign I got hooked, great storyline imo. :3 Zombie maps are great and online gameplay is soooo much better than MW2! Best of the COD series for me.
