Cher Lloyd has revealed that she is ditching her rapping for this week's X Factor performance.

The 17-year-old singer promised her fans that there would be a "massive shock" in her routine this weekend, which will see her showing off her vocal talents.

"This weekend's going to be a massive shock and I hope everyone is prepared for it because everyone is used to me being a bad girl rapper," said Cher in her latest official video blog.

“I'm going to twist it up a bit and prove to the other people that maybe haven’t liked me as much as my supporters have, to think that actually I'm an alright singer.”

Speaking about her Halloween-themed song choice, she said: "I'm very, very nervous about this one. This is the hardest I've done so far."

Lloyd also revealed that the three favourite things that she would take to a desert island were her iPod, her gran and her favourite food, pork pies.

The Halloween X Factor airs on Wednesday at 8pm on ITV1.

That last part about her pork pies and stuff is so ******ing random it's unreal.

Anyway this week will either make or break her,

She'll either be epic and win everyone over and this could be the week that seals her place in the final already.

Or

She'll be a fail and everyone will be like PMSL and not vote.

She can sing though, we've heard parts in different songs and she sounds amazing. I hope she gets more fans from doing this or something :')

Well, if they give her anything too demanding it'll be terrible.

I fell in love with Cher because I loved her singing voice, I hate the rapping. I'm glad to her that she will be just singing!

We all know that she is due for the 'solo lady' performance. The idea will be she comes out in a beautiful glamour gown, low lights, elegant hairstyle... and does the soft sophisticated beautiful song.

In a real way she can't lose. As long she can pull off 'mediocre at best' the beautiful gown and song itself will (by contrast of perceptions) win her something.

She should just do as she is doing now,she shouldn't try to do the impossible.

No.. she's got a great voice, it's just we don't hear that much of her actual singing because of her rapping..

We have heard her singing and it's been dreadful.

You are probably having a hard time remembering the singing since her 'singing' really isn't easily discerned from her rapping.
Meaning - she 'talk sings', has stunted timing (where it ought not be) and she kinda 'breathes out' the singing.
She also treats both the rap and singing as 'plays' she is acting out and 'lines' she is reading out in a play.

But at least she can dance... oh wait.. no, she dances like a she has awkwarditis and hip displacement problems.

:(

I'm looking forward to see whether she can pull it off or not. It'll make her or break her and if she can do a good job I think she's going to glide into the later parts of the competition.

This.

I'm willing to give her a chance, as much as I have thought she was utterly awful since her first audition.

This is kinda like jedward for me, it may be the turning point. I actually enjoyed their queen performance, and stopped disliking them so much. I hope this happens with cher this week...as I am sick of getting the urge to thrown things at my tv :D

Unlike Vicky I am not giving this BIATCH another chance.

She needs to shut her mouth the dirty little chav she is.

I reckon she will excell this week however. Because all her performances are HORRIFIC!!

I hope she impresses on Saturday; I'm willing to give her a chance because I do think she could be one of the most versatile contestants if she played to each of her strengths individually rather than trying to throw them all together, because so far it's produced two dire performances and one alright one. I do like the trills in her voice when she sings, so I hope whatever she's singing does show off what she can do!

Kaaarenn!

I think she can sing but her rapping in every single song does my head in

Doesn't matter if she proves she can sing tonight, we'll be back to the disgraceful, boring rapping for the next few weeks until she's hopefully out!
