Katy Perry, is a sh*t singer.
On X Factor she sounded like a turtle being squashed by a ball bag.
I mean come on, She's got some good songs.
But why the hell has she got a recording contract if she's bollocks singing live and stuff without any help from studio recording and that.

She can write and must be good at singing ballads live

I've seen her sing live on Youtube, and of course on X Factor and she was horrible.
I thought it was just me, but then after X Factor everyone said so too lol
Does she write all her own music then? Fair enough, but I don't get why she doesn't just stick to that.
Coz' that makes sense.

Lol.. It's a puzzle to me too. She's utter ****e. I was actually embarrassed for her when she was on XF.
I can guarantee she doesn't write her own songs either!

She's marketable, a lot of pop artists can't sing very well but it's how they're marketed and the songs rather then their own talent which gets them far. Look at Britney Spears or Ke$ha.

She co-writes all of her own material. Mainly with Max Martin and Dr Luke, Claude Kelly and Benny Blanco.
It did in my head.

Didn't she used to be a country or gospel or something like that singer?

Co-writes really means somebody writes for her and she agrees with it makes a few suggestions here and there, but she definitely doesn't write the music. No way

Yes, gospel.

This is pop music we're talking about. There's no logic to these things.

You don't need a great voice in pop. After over 25 years of Madonna and 10 years of Britney you'd think people had grasped this fact by now.
Wait... don't you like Cher Lloyd?
